Stackable Gems and Runes

It will be unless they fix old code and bugs.

The only thing that should be stackable is tomes/scrolls, up to 20 to be precise.
Anything esle can be suggested for mod makers

You realize that they are building the game right now, yes? But let me get this straight. You want specific limits, and then people to DL a mod. This would make it ok? I am surrounded by idiots… And you all want a say at what happens… Wow. Just, wow…

One thing about stacking.
Books of tomes up to 20 stacks.
It’s a book with paper so It sounds realistic.
Keys up to 20 stacks.
It’s have a keyholder that stacks up to 20 stacks so It sounds realistic.

Do you think runes or gems can be stacked inside each other? Lets try that in real, does it work?

Stackable runes / gems sounds ridicilous.
I know It makes the inventory much more easier, but If D2:R have bigger stash It’s not a problem.

Well considering a gem would typically realistically (since that’s what we’re doing here) be about the same size as a small coin…

I’m guessing since you can hold 273737828 dollars
You should also be able to hold 28387392 gems at once.

Since were being realistic right???

Cue in coin limit (wallet/money bag) and add d2 Bank of Sanctuary bahahaha

but it can force you to trade off stuff  so it isnt a piss poor reason

If we go off what is “realistic” they should take FAR less space. The average diamond is about half the size of a penny. Lets quadruple that for a “perfect” diamond. Set 2 pennies next to a hoodie (to approximate a piece of armor). Can you only fit 12 pennies (6 perfect diamonds) before you reach the size of your hoodie?

Realism is NOT what the diablo universe is steeped in

in lack of better things…

they could fix all the tedious things like the hassle with inventory and the game would become much greater.

stackign runes and gems does not make the game easier… taking up space in something does not make a game hard, just annoying.

Becase items that you trade for dont take up room as well? Use your brain, whats more likely…i trade items SOLELY for something that takes up a tiny bit less room, or i make a mule to store my wealth and only trade for items i actually need. We can and will flood the servers with millions of mule characters if we dont get improvements.

I question my sanity daily but honestly these purist are like really what game ? Wow d3

How about common framing sense / since! Like is this your boomer moments or stuck in the past! Yikes

i do use my brain, which is why i dont need stacking

Still not sure why you have pre-bought this game since you clearly dont like how it plays?

anyway, devs said there is no plan for stacking at this time.

I love d2 but I am smart enough to know it needs a major QOL upgrade in 2021! There’s a reason why people play mods and not just d2! The game lacks a lot of features that are just anti fun in 2021! Gems / rune stacking , making Mules is dated we need stash space! All d2R needs is a polish and its light years ahead of d3 and D4! David Brevik would have had instanced loot but the technology was not up to par! So adding that and a end game after a few ladder seasons and will be golden! Then down the road will get a True d2 expansion! Current game is a class balance nightmare and lacks qol to even be considered playable!

This is the only relevant part of your ramblings, and D2R Devs agree! We are getting plenty of QOL to bring D2 up to 2021 par, while keeping true to what made D2 great, not making it just like every other game that you only enjoy because they are easy. You know what easy is? Boring. There is a reason D3 has tanked since its launch and D2 has lasted 20 years.

D2 has plenty of end game, if you dont realize this, you clearly dont play or are just that ignorant if you think killing Hell Baal is the only end game of D2.

I’m sorry what’s hard about playing a sorc or a paladin ??? Nothing! Yeah you do ubers and all sorts of other runs depends on what your farming…

If you think this game is hard then I question if you have ever played a hard game lol! Any new player can YouTube sorc / paladin and will breeze through the game…

Also I can level from 1-80 in a few hours you just join games and level very fast… the only thing that is hard is if your playing a build that requires gear otherwise when the ladder resets how long until your doing normal countess for basic rune words blah blah fast forward 5 hours your doing runs…

What is hard about d2 NOTHING!

People were in like god tier items the first weekend of the POD ladder reset LOL! I played a few days after boom level 81 sorc in a few hours doing my boring solo runs by my self

Stackable gems and runes will have a negative affect on the economy.

Back in the day, high level players didn’t bother picking up low level gems and runes because of inventory management. This increases the value of those low level items. Only the lower level players have an abundance of that resource, and high level players pay handsomely during the rare times they need them.

With stacking, the lower level players have nothing of value to offer.

Every change to the game comes with consequences. Just keep that in mind when you just want to make things more convenient.

I’d support stackable gems and runes or a currency tab in your stash. All of these people saying inventory tetris is part of the game… it pretty much adds nothing except annoyance and consuming a bit of time. I’ve been playing PD2 and stackable gems and runes do not make it feel like it’s not D2.

Still not helping the economy by holding runes. They are the main currency and no one should be allowed to stack

Players should be able to do whatever they want with the loot they find.
Trade it, collect it, charsi it, thats their business.
