Split MF isn't socializing

Many users have come to the forum to rightly point out that multiple /players command workarounds already exist on BNET/LADDER and that by the dev team’s own stated design philosophy the command should be added as a QOL feature for those players who aren’t no-lifing this game or trying to turn it into a paycheck. All are met with stalwart resistance from multi-account holders, RMT users, and trolls. Among their invalid and laughably stupid arguments is a common thread that attempts to shame the regular user with the accusation of being ‘greedy’ and ‘anti-social’.

Playing in Split MF games isn’t you being social. If you think otherwise this is a red flag for some serious personality defects and you are most likely a sociopath. The most interaction these players are having with each-other is flaming whoever happens to be too stupid to even cooperate by staying apart, and there are many of these. Playing alone together is not really playing together, it is merely a pitiable means to an and.

If you don’t like RMT in video games, don’t already have a sunken cost in multiple game licenses, and still believe /players would be a bad thing for anyone but people trying to generate revenue from a video game then you need to step back and actually think because you are lying to yourself.

it is…maybe…for those who have a crap social life irl

so the problem here is reference

for those who have 0, 1 is alot
for those who have 100, 1 is meaningless

so if you take that away from them how else they gonna be able to “play” with others?
its something they naturally lack
which is sad, very sad

anyway, i agree
splitfarm is far far from being a social perk of MP

Its not when you are silent. If you communicate it is, i had plenty of games where i communicated with others, we commented our loot and had fun. If you are not social with others in those games, issue might be you.

Try to find discord group and be in voice chat for split runs, thats plenty of socializing. Its not the game causing to be antisocial, there is plemty socializimg if you want to do that. Its probanly just you that do not want to socialize and you use it as excuse.

Yes its a red flag if you have this issue, i suggest you to seek help.

Its not about the game being one or other way, its about how you choose to play and interact with others.

this is biased if the game punishes players for grouping up
so people cant really “choose” how they will interact with others

as Gallerani said “if an option is much better, there really isnt an option

Not really, games gives you less no drop if you play in group. Thats opposite of being punished. I would say that D2 elevate good and bad in people. With right people you can have amazing experience, split loot and have fun. On other hand you can fight over loot and steal. Its up to you how you decide to play a game. What will win? Your greed or generosity?

thats whats on paper
in practice, players receive less loot than if they were alone, this if we assume an equal distribution of loot, which is a joke

and no drop buff from player count is overestimated by those pro and against p8

i think this dichotomous equation of good and evil of yours is missing the main factor, fairness
is it fair that the pickit user get the loot?
is it fair that the leecher get the loot?
is it fair that the controler user get the loot?
is it fair that the lowest ping user get the loot?

if you ask me, with these above, you rarely get the chance to be greedy or generous

Um, socializing? We’re here to play a video game and maybe escape real life, where we have plenty of friends. Not my fault you don’t have any, OP.

IKR, it’s funny when some dude with 200 game licenses sits in his basement on a diet of monster energy and tacos and talks about social aspects.

he is basically using that “you wanna ruin socialization” as a smoke bomb to protect his “edge”, be it playing in a closed group (which is not reliable tbh, people quit, have RL problems etc) or owning more accs

Not this argument again :joy:. Where are those pickit users? I dont thonk i have seen any so far. I am pretty consistenly able to pick up good stuff on baalruns for example. If there would be plague of pickit users, I would definitely notice as i have good experience with catching them on d2 private servers.

And yes itsnot fair of course but should we keeping changing game just because some peopoe cheat? Of course not.

Yes. If you have issues with high ping, find group who split loot equally. True leechers are also rare.

Yes, and if you had even an elementary school level of reading comprehension then you would realize that you are agreeing with me.

Look flamer, the only thing that you can possibly know about me from these forums is that I am much smarter than you are.

Tbh I didn’t bother to read your post, I just read the title. I don’t bother with trolls usually, but you struck me funny.

Hahahah, I work in a high end industry and I earn well over 6 digits a year, got to level 99 this season with just 2-3 hours of playtime / day and you’re the guy complaining about arbitrary stuff on a forum because you cannot adapt to some video game. Get real.

Your post should’ve stopped there. Everything else is just word vomit that confirms my assertions.

I disagree with that wholeheartedly. My bnet list is full of people that I regularly split MF with and while they’re not my “friends”, lots of us regularly end up in the same maps. We know each other’s alternate characters, we know each other’s preferred farming areas, we come to each other’s defense if someone doesn’t follow our split mf etiquette, we share our finds as we find them and we spend half the time waffling with each other.

Playing together in different areas is still playing together.
If all you do is flame other people then that’s on you and just sounds like a character deficit to be honest.

Poor reading comprehension strikes again. Public schools did you guys no favors.

Sounds like someone’s local store was out of tendies and mountain dew.

sounds like someone should play single player.

its not.

Only PVP and Trade.

Sometimes i play with my friends but never together, because we do not want fight or share loot. I wanna px cmd for better loot and increased monster power.

Most multiplayer of d2 is solo.

Is taking separate cars to a destination considered driving together?

sure they wont walk over the place screaming they are cheating, if thats what you asking

so, if i understand it correctly, your concept of fairness here has nothing to do whith the effort on the killing, but the oportunity to loot
am i right?

ofc it is…in the great utopia of d2r
