Since you decide to buff spear zon to be a viable choice, why not enable more rune word for it. Even lazy thing like polearm runewords also work in spear would be a welcoming change.

Spears, claws, orbs, daggers, helmets, shields. To be fair. I don’t see anything comeing for these weapon types rn, but maybe 2.5 will bring something for these, forgotten items.
Infinity feels to me like it was made for a lightning strike zon, then they just forgot to check spears.
They should improve e.g. the enhanced damage stat from magic and rare items first. This would improve the missing weapon situation overall.
It could help, at least partially, if they would add weapons like Claws and Daggers to Crafting recipes, where Claws would go to “Blood” or “Hit Power” items, while Daggers could be added to “Caster” weapon recipe.
“Crescent Moon” RW would be good for both Spears and Claws.
So yes, I do agree and hope that Spears RWs could simply be solved by treating Spears as equal as Polearms, they do not need to invent specially designed Spears RWs, just let all Polearm RWs to be used in Spears. After all, Act 2 Merc can equip also Spears and Javelins, and he even uses Jab as a Spear skill, so it would be completely logical (as would Mr Spock from Star Trek said) that RW Polearms = RW Spears
Spearazon though would welcome “Spear mastery” skill, to have both AR and ED, just like Barb masteries work.
