Sorc is even more overpowerd than before this is bad.

First of all blizzard/orb is now an unstoppable force with next to no gear…

Fire ice builds are very overpowered now with minimal gear.

The last thing we needed was to give the sorceress a even bigger advantage over every other class.

I think if anything they needed a bit of a nerf or more focus on the FIRE skill tree it is still underperforming in PVM against cold and light.

For those wondering nova still sucks

While I’m a purist and I think nerfing things is most certainly NOT the way to go, of all the classes to get buffed, I cannot believe Sorc and Paladin were buffed the most from what it seems :laughing:

If Sorc got literally ZERO changes this patch, that would be better for the balance of the meta than the changes we got.

As a sorc main I agree this will be a huge buff, but will also fix an annoyance. Normally I just use blizzard on everything until I run into a Cold Immune and have to switch to a terrible Fire Wall and slowly watch its life tick down. But now just spamming orb and meteor back to back… going to be crazy lol. Don’t worry, Auradin can just run through cows ignoring things without even casting just picking up loot like they are taking a walk…

While i do appreciate the remove of shared cooldowns, it should have been between different elements only. The already mentioned Orb/Blizzard Combo is very problematic und has no right to exist imho.
The planed changes translate to “give Cold Sorc double damage” - a well needed buff to the most useless character in game [/sarcasmOff].

The FoH Changes for the Paladin give off a somewhat similar vibe. While those changes wont make the skill anymore viable for regular play then before, in PvP its unbalanced as it can be. Change the Cooldown of an already strong PvP-Skill from 1.0 sec to 0.4 ? Sounds like (more than) double damage again.

Agreed, allowing them to stack attacks that normally should have cool-downs is just too much of a buff.

Not fan of nerf, but able to cast forzen orbs between Blizzard is so busted.

I don’t see what the issue is here to be honest. You can spam Glacial Spike / Ice Blast in between Blizzards (in fact if you’re not doing it you’re doing it wrong). Same with Fireball + Meteor.

I just tried Orb+Bliz on PTR and yes it kills a little bit faster on non-cold immunes but it’s not even close to the lighning sorc or javazon. It just gives you one more option to full spec cold if you choose (with the downside of having to rely on merc for cold immunes – phys/cold you’re just SOL).

If you’re talking PvP I can’t comment since I don’t PvP but I really don’t want PvP to diminish fun builds in PvE so obviously I’m biased there.

Its nothing game breaking but last thing the sorc needed was more power. They should have focused on the fire tree more, just to balance the 3 elements she needs less power not more . There are an overwhelming amount of sorc because they have an advantage over every other class

so no cta for life buff(suicidal play)
or did you mean
Hoj +2X Dragon with cta on swap ? in such case rip 35% Cold dmg by not having fathom

+3 Fire Skill Circlet of the Magus + 2 facets
+4 skills from gloves,belt,2X ring
+2 Skills Amulet
+4 skill torch//Anni
+10 Skill B-Command 9 Fire GC
(lvl 43 Fire mastery + 10% from facets(334% Fire dmg boost)

pally case …24 per resist fire + 6% per salv point(600%)

basicly Sorc is like HALF of what pally does in term of pulsing dmg

EDIT: orb dmg is insignificant compare to fully powered up Blizz…and Ice Blast already does do better too(hit way harder)…at best its gonna be more handy on normal//nightmare for pure cold build…if you mixed fire to cold dmg that mean your blizzard should do pretty low dmg if you maxed out orb
edit2: err if its just fire mastery mixed for HoJ/Dragon…thats weak pulse dmg + a lost of 7 skills points into cold skills(5 lost if were to use Jeweler Monarch of Deflection filled of 4 facet) instead of the Dragon Shield

I also dislike that sorc is the best char with hammerdin. I am barb player and i basically dislike casters with their advantages of always hitting spells, being not threatened by hits as melees do.

I mean sorc would be oukeyish char if she had not spamable Teleport. Thats the most op on sorceress, nothing else really is. Make her teleport to have 100 replenishable charges, with faster replenish with skillpoint invested.

personality i think the patch is well balance except ( the bone necro op )

but my main issue is the time you but infinity ( conviction ) on the top of all these elemental build monster just drop in 1 or 2 click and this patch turn to be powercreep and ruine d2 for me i dont see much chalenge anymore this become brain dead
