Something from the OG that I'd like them to fix

It’s not a bug but it’s annoying : those Zakarumites guys running away from you in act 3. I know it’s because you completed the orb quest and freed them from the Council’s grasp or something, but who cares about story logic? It’s not like they have anything else to do with their lives lol. Let them complete the goal of their miserable existence by dying under our spells/swords/etc. They potentially have loot we need, just make it so they stop running to the other side of the map as soon as they see us. Please.

Huh, is that really the case, destroying the Compelling Orb changes their AI? I never noticed. If that’s the case it’d be cooler if they changed into friendly units like the barbarians in Act 5 (though I can see how them being potentially elite/champion could cause issues).

In any event, I completely agree. Granted, it’s a cool little touch if it really is in response to the Orb, but it’s outweighed by the annoyance factor. And come to think of it, technically shouldn’t killing Andariel should free the corrupted Rogues from Act 1 too? But they’re still perfectly happy to keep fighting you afterwards, might as well keep it consistent with these guys too.

While I’m okay with that being changed, I also don’t see why it would be. Idk why you think they have loot, over all the other, countless better loot areas. I mean, we all accept that fallen run away, yeah it can be annoying but I don’t think you’re really supposed to be killing every fallen for loot or whatever. Idk I just don’t think it’s a problem, I guess it just doesn’t affect me one bit so it doesn’t matter to me, they can leave it as is or change their behavior won’t make a difference to me anyway.

NGL, this thought actually crossed my mind today while playing.

It’s extremely annoying that their apparent AI behavior is just to run and keep running.

Well, I posted this because according to how loot tables are set, logic told me that they would have a higher chance to give polearms like Giant Threshers. I mean, you can see they hold scythes… …however, I just checked with silospen drop calculator and no, it seems they can’t even drop those haha.

Still, they’re capable of dropping nice stuff, and it’s always better to kill stuff while popping those chests in LK.
