This guy in game tried to sell his non-eth infinity for 2 bers. When I found out he just left. Not sure if he bought it or made it himself lol

I actually made a krakenshell fortitude for my barb cause i just liked the way it looked on my full setup with the Arreat’s face and all. Archon plate just does not look nice on the barb imho being abit less optimal is worth it to look nicer lol

regret making the fortitude in a 15ed superior base. the repair bills are horrendous :fearful:

APs and sup bases are so overpriced right now that it’s crazy.

I traded my 15% for a perfect non superior base . The extra Defense is t worth it . Tbh perfect non superior is what people should be try getting

Agreed. People are about the min/maxing without realizing how little difference it makes especially for something like defense.

The only superior item worth trading for are weapons which are like enchance damage . The defense is useless in D2. No one is going to sit there in one spot to tank hits .

I reckon bigger numbers just look nicer :stuck_out_tongue: I would love to have used a sacred armor base but the 232 str req is just too much to handle. 174 for the krakenshell is still doable to look nice :stuck_out_tongue:

When you have the old school elite duelists with absurd gear to the absolute min/max not having sup bases for their armors, that says something.

Thing is that group is an incredibly small niche part of the playerbase. Never found pvp fun in D2 even back in it’s heyday but to each their own.

But my point was that even if people like them who have by far the most ridiculous gear and specced out for every matchup don’t care about 15% ed on an armor, it means that it really isn’t important.

The big problem is you actually lose movement speed and AP is the highest def before you lose the movement penalty. Sorry just id much rather my movement then slightly different look but hoarses for courses. Some go for performance and some go for aesthetics but subjectively its obvious which one has more value.
