I plan on building a java zon which I have most the gear for. I hear and know for sure that mana is an issue. As I want to take the mana leech route for solving mana issues if possible. Just to avoid using Phoenix on switch side.
If it is possible to go without Phoenix, how much mana leech do I need to cover my mana issues? Yes I have an eth upped titans ready to use when I level and gear my amazon. Hopefully the mana leech path is viable so I can have Spirit on cta side and Sanctuary on main side. Just want an every day java zon build as I found a non eth griffons recently.
IMO: just use Silkweave boots for +5 Mana per Kill, and whatever mana leech you can stack else where; most likely a ring slot, and or gloves. Valkyarie Wing is also great, lots of awesome stats and another +2→4 MpK, but you got griffons, so I’d stick with that.
Mana per Kill is more than enough to get you through hordes, and Mana Leech with charge strike will help you get through bosses and single targets.
Also you’ll need more than just 1 set of Eth javalins if you plan on playing a lot. 1 stack will not regen fast enough, if you don’t wait between runs. Personally, I prefer non-eth because of this; only need 1 stack of javs, and don’t have to rotate them to regen, just repair em.
I was hoping to get enough from the ring slot and gloves but I’ll keep Silkweave in mind. I like War Travs for that extra damage along with Razortail. Throwing weapons and bows rely on it pretty much.
Really 1 Java every 3 seconds is not fast enough? If that’s the case I can use lightning fury for massive hordes of monsters and cs for that small pack I can take down in a breeze.
Agree, but want to add;
In my experience, if you do not have SilkWeaves, you may be better served with the ValkarieWing over Griffons… once you have the SilkWeaves, go Griffons.
Agree but want to add;
Lightening Strike seems to be totally over looked…
For situations where several single targets are spread out… you then have a choice, burn up Jav’s throwing LightFury, or chase monsters down one at at time with ChargedStrike… OR… utilize LighteningStrike to attack one monster, while lighting spreads and damages/destroys everything on screen… and some off screen.
Agree but want to add;
Eth Titans are not falling from trees (I have not upp’d mine… yet…)… so, I keep 2 sets of TStokes in my stash… when Titan’s gets low, I throw it in the cube and run TStrokes… faster attack speed, added lightening damage, and -enemy light res …
I think if TStrokes had replenish, no one would use Titans. They are that good.
Having said all that… I dislike CTA… it’s a PITA…
On swap I run a Plague to remove curses, and a Phoenix, for, well…
Most often I need the curse removal, but, never hurts to have redemption on hand as well.
For a bit of clarity;
I mostly play solo… and find an +15 lightening skills Ormus’ armor most valuable.
Trade yourself into lightening facets, socket/w-facets your Griffons and Ormus’, and a Mosers or Monarch, and, wowzers.
During play through, a “The Ward” shield with 50 all res was a god-send.
So, what would be the best set for mana sustain without gettind rid of many damage/survivability affixes?
Phoenix seems to really solve mana problems, but maybe Spirit + Silkweaves + mana leech on golves is better. Like, Phoenix have a huge bonus for physical damage, but this isnt that useful ou javazon, and it ends up being only really useful for mana.
And getting rid of a light facet for a 15IAS/3MAEK isnt that much? Seems to lose a respectable damage since we dont have many sources of - Enemy Light Resist.
If you have pheonix on swap that solves the problem. More economic answer is the tried and true insight on the merc and get your base mana up to 400 plus. Potions to refill in an emergency
