I don’t mind if someone is “buying” items for more “money” in the beginning of each ladder.
In fact I myself like to capitalize on that, I “sell” what I find early on that I don’t need for more and “buy” stuff I do need for more, which pretty much equalizes everything over time.
If only you could trade your Ohm for a bunch of other runes and use those to buy a bunch of smaller items at low cost.

If only you could trade in a faster more efficient manner, less prone to scams because people have trade histories there for the viewing. Tradarie has these long histories of players not scamming others in their profiles? If it’s a new trade hub I doubt it.
Players still do item swap scams on a regular basis, because let’s face it all the accounts are new. Good luck having a fast and efficient trading environment. When all the accounts are throwaway accounts due to how new a hub is, scamming can be rampant.

I really like the idea of SSF team, or Guild Self Found, or something along those lines.
Maybe something along the lines of Creating a character and immediately be given the option to Create or Join a guild.
When attempting to join one, you have to be approved by the Guild Leader or Officer and then the Character can be accessed and player normally.
Either that, or when creating a character and joining a guild, you are SSF until the application is approved and then you get access to the Guild Stash and games that guildmembers make.
I love that the best defense you have is “well what if you’re too stupid to verify you’re not getting scammed in the trade window”.

and as OP said , it does undermine ladder and hardcore quiet a bit.
also , i don’t think d2jsp have 1m D2 player on it period.
so yeah…have fun in your imaginary world with 1M players using it for D2 and only one person dislking it i guess xD

This IS true. Even without d2jsp the average player has no chance of EVER topping the ladder. Ever. In order for them to have a hope you would need to also remove streamers or any sponsored gamer.
Even without d2jsp, ladder “integrity” has been gone for years.

the main point of ladder is to reset the economy and it has a level tracker.
enjoy the reset so the game feels fresh. stop being envious of the people who play 10+ hours a day. obviously they will be ahead. it’s how life works

and they HAD to “officially” be against botting otherwise they would have to be closed, it was pure hypocrisy.

In fact, we are the minority…by a lot.
It’s more about wasting time trying to trade with those players. Some people value their time more than others.
When your beloved trade hub can’t exactly punish people for misconduct what’s to stop all the misconduct exactly which can waste time even if you see the scam coming?
It’s also the same reason I don’t bother negotiating with players who want something for nothing in the majority of trade games. It’s a massive time sink that isn’t productive. There’s more productive trading going on via forums, and to a further extent forums with a history of tracked trades that lead to verifiably trusted players.

Without the “ladder specific runewords” there is no point.
If ladder is me going 7 days without my gear…then I guess that’s …uhh fun? So…7 days no loot and then 4 months later it gets merged with my pile.
Fun stuff.
