Solo leveling build?

Any recommendation for a comfortable build to help get through things? I just hit 20 but play online solo, so things have been coming pretty slowly. I just got to 20 and completed A2.

Go zeal for sure as a solo player. More versatility and survivability than other builds for the majority of the questing experience.

2 easy builds I’d think for new people is thorns aura and the holy freeze aura. Maxing them as soon as you can. These 2 builds should get you through normal pretty easily.

For thorns you don’t want a lot of defense because you want to get hit. However you do want lots of health, and if you can lots of life steal.

For holy freeze work on pumping points into resist cold aura until you get to holy freeze. Then max that out before going back to maxing out the resist cold aura. As a side note, some mobs in act 5 are immune to the damage and slowing effect of the aura, but they will still take the cold damage that’s added to your attacks.

Thanks, guys!

I hit 62 and got into Hell last night, so I respecced to Hammerdin and am starting the hunt for gear.

If you guys have any other tips, I’d gladly entertain them! I played Hammerdin almost religiously back in LoD, but most things about it have escaped my memory since then.

I soloed to level 80, self found on bnet. I put one point into holy fire for leveling saved points until blessed hammer unlocks

put 1 point in:
might
blessed aim
holy fire (just for leveling until hammers)
concentration
smite
holy bolt
blessed hammer
charge
holy shield

maxed blessed hammer first when it unlocks
then blessed aim
then vigor
finally maxed concentration

rest into holy shield or whatever you want.

If you have trouble aiming with hammers, just fire one off take a step away from the mobs so they chase you, hammer again. Rinse and repeat

I’m building an hdin too but I’m finding I use A LOT of mana. Waiting for lvl 30 then using Redemption to keep the mana topped up.

Did you craft yourself an insight yet?

For early Hdin mana, you can look for ammys or rings that have a high mana value. +40-60mana can go a long way as a temp stop gap.

Socket in a few Tir Runes (Which give +2 Mana per kill) to recover your mana. 4 or so at the beginning will recover the mana and reduce Pot Addiction.

As you get Mana gear these can be gradually removed.
