What level terror zone needs to be to drop this ring?
The Stone of Jordan has an ilvl of 39, so you’d want the Terror Zone to be at least level 39. Your target difficulty would be Normal, which caps at level 45 for Terror Zones. Hopefully you get a Terrorized area where you can drop a lot of rings. The Flayer Jungle/Spider Forest and The Secret Cow Level have always seemed to drop a lot of rings for me, largely due to the monster density.

to be able to roll a SoJ in a TZ, your char needs to be at last…
- lvl 34 to be able to drop a SoJ from any terrorized unique monster
- lvl 35 to be able to drop a SoJ from any terrorized champ monster
- lvl 37 to be able to drop a SoJ from any terrorized normal monster
As far as your best chance of getting a Stone of Jordan on a per-monster basis, it is from Nightmare Andariel.
They don’t have TZ on offline do they? So you’re online.
You’d be better off not target farming a SOJ and just farming in general and just trade for one. Hunting for a specific item isn’t a good idea even in single player.
But it looks like if you just farm normal TZ only that would be your best way of finding one, probably on par with NM andy.
Weird that the SOJ is pretty much the ONLY item that I have not found in D2R. It is a good thing that they are commonly available for trade. Traderie has them up for grabs for an OHM, which is expensive, but not that expensive. You also see them appear for trade in the lobby as well.
So SOJ is a weird one that can be difficult to find I think mainly because you tend to shoot past the portion of the game where it would be fairly easily farmed if you know what you’re doing because you would be eliminating like 7 possibilities of rings above it and at the time you were even in that area you likely had zero MF. But honestly if you just spam trav all day you’d find a soj eventually as well as other good items, so I’m not sure why one would waste time target finding one.
