I think it’d be neat if the A-5 Hell Difficulty Quest had a unique property that this quest (and only in this way) could give any boots or gloves, a single socket. Also the socket filler (once socketed) could never be removed.
It would be kind of cool to give boots and gloves more utility, not that it needs it but would be cool nevertheless.
Just what the game needs… More power creep.
Mods, nuff said.

Enigma balance in 3.2.1…
Makes more sense for jewelry to have sockets than gloves (are we Thanos?) Or boots (a hole in a shoe…great)…at least with jewelry it makes sense thematically.
But no. We really don’t need or I’d say even want this, unless they’re adding a 4th difficulty or something.
The only socket changes I would like to see is maybe make it repeatable in hell.
Maybe Hephasto or something can have a small chance to drop a hammer when killed or something that you can bring to Larzuk for an extra socket.
All this would do is make it so you don’t have to keep creating new chars for socket quests.
Thanks,
Floopay
I hate QoL stuff always, but i like that one. Even if its ULTRA rare drop, thats fine by me.
Not a bad idea actually. Perhaps both Hephasto and The Smith can drop this hammer… The chances for the average player would need to roughly equal the time it would take someone to solo a new character up to kill normal Shenk for the quest. And I think it’s safe to say, it would be a Hell difficulty only drop.
Heh, yeah… That’s bound to go over well… People will just keep creating characters to farm normal Shenk for the quest, rinse and repeat.
It always amuses me how easily you can predict 75% of all comments on simple feature suggestions.
It literally takes nothing to set off a group people with no life. The buttons are just too damned easy to press.
I could tomorrow, make a post suggesting something like, making runewords not need exact number of sockets (leaving customizable extra sockets in certain runewords). The comments would explode with the EXACT words and phrases as today.
Seriously, I could pre-type the comments and be so accurate that anyone who wouldn’t know any better might think I could read minds.
I feel sorry for a lot of you, you honestly believe these suggestions and opinions matter that much, that the devs would listen to either of us?
Fascinating…
That’s what the forum is here for… For us to discuss our thoughts about the game. Whether or not you agree with others opinions matters not.
You know that rush new char to larzuk on normal would take less time than drop this hammer from your proposal?
Yes, but I wouldnt have to find or rely on someone else everytime.
And it would depend on his drop rate. At 5% I could probably nuke him 20 tomes before someone can find the spider cavern.
You could skip that part of act 3 and get directly to trav.
Either way I’m curious how fast I could rush to larzuk using only random online games
You can, but walking durance is a pain.
Not if you are over leveled and one shot everything. Or have tele, or have both.
Too bad my pc is trash, so I could run timer and rush it to larzuk. On xbox it’s not possible since there are 3 games per day that have more than 2 players in them

All i want is a P ruby Hotspur.
I get what you are saying and where you are going with this …
I disagree with the concept of socketing belts, gloves, or boots.
However …
We already have one option in place … the Malus quest … to enhance these items … but, let’s explore this further … let’s take some existing game concepts that already exist and see if we can make them work …
Maybe an act 4 quest involving Habu? Add a quest similar to the malus quest, but put it in the river of flame. Add a red portal there that you cannot enter until 1. you have completed certain quests up to there, then must speak to Habu to activate it … maybe have something similar to the malus, I don’t know, another rare hell forge item only found in Act 4 and once brought to Habu, you can actually select certain customizations from a pre-determined list to add to it. Maybe 1 item in Normal, Maybe 2 selections in NM, then maybe 3 or a third to existing quest item from previous difficulty …
See where I am going here??? Adds another aspect of gameplay, another quest, another item enhancement, etc …
Just some random thoughts.
