… I want it. I don’t care as much for all the loot filters and highlights etc, but with broken transparency, this will at least make trav playable. Ideally I would just like transparency to be fixed, but a mod that removes walls is good enough…
P.S. I’m exploring korean mods and they have so much good stuff that just fixes random bugs or visually improves to the game… Blizzard please just include those things into the next patch…

I mean you can’t use any online lol it’s pretty simple. You can use them in single player though
Any mod that changes any game data at all like wall translucency are against tos being game modifications.
Only a blizzard mod api is okay. If there are any

It’s actually pretty easy to do this and definitely works online. I’ve went online plenty of times when I was testing level modding (recreating the D2 PVP arena for fun) with changes to the level graphics and I never got banned once.
It’s definitely a risk, but I’d say it’s a low one.

Sure, you can do it. But it’s against tos and you can lose your account for it if they ever decide to enforce that.
It’s pretty black and white changing a single file or bit in any data being moved back or forth is against tos

when i was watching an anni pop of some korean streamer he had mod online that made wps shine light on them, generally just looked better. so i know some of them won’t get you banned, but i couldn’t tell you which. i never used any myself.

Probably D2RMM, Ive been playing with it offline, one of the loot filters has Light Pillar option for items. Its cool if you miss something in a pile like a charm, you arent missing a beam of light from god…
The thing is, you don’t change any bit of data moving back or forth by changing textures or translation files
They have released patches that are mod friendly but only for SP. Like already discussed it’s a large unnecessary risk bringing it online.
I believe someone on these forums modded the transparency level of ethereal uniques. Pretty harmless, but not worth the risk. It just takes one bad egg to bring the hammer down
while i agree,
blizzard cant even ban the spam-bots… which any person can write a script to detect after being pulled off the street and given a 20 min introductory course in coding and told to go for it and pull off successfully.
so while i may not risk my account… i can certain see why other people are willing
Wow, this looks so good and diabloesk! What if he does not have a weapon equipped, does he stomp the corpses with his foot? The animation looks fantastic. I can’t imagine anyone not liking this over the silly current animation.

Right, it’s why I said single bit or single file. I didn’t give a comprehensive list of techniques to modify game data either. There are lots of ways.
It’s pretty common sense if you modify anything with the game
