So MF is not affect rune drop rate I had to prove it myself

but I got griffon eye at around 400 MF farming.

Many in the forum (myself included) tried telling you that magic find doesn’t affect rune drop rates or the quality of the runes dropped… There were references to official sources like the Arreat Summit which states that magic find doesn’t affect rune drop rates or the quality of the runes dropped, but you kept insisting that it did.

It’s good to see that you finally came around. Congratulations on the Griffons Eye drop.

DarkJedi is just simply right. Not sure how you specifically would even individually test it as a theory because you’d never personally gain enough data or correct data to figure it out. You’d have to look at the drop table code and what not, but you’d never be able to witness it with any sort of accuracy.

test your hypothesis in arcane sanctuary. Look at loot tables to see which mobs have “less overall item types” they can drop and farm them. Make sure your dps/speed per run is about the same or your not comparing it the same. If you have 1000000 dps and clear 1 run in 2 hours its prol not as good as 0 mf and clear 100000000 runs in 10 minutes. Law of statistics and probability. Kill more Kill Faster and more runes “should have the chance to possibly drop?”
700+MF pit zerker finds tons of blue and ups but doesnt kill fast (i dont find many runes on this guy, sometimes at Trav but I can flip corpses so 2x Times it could happen"

0 MF Nova sorc 200fcr has found Jah, Ohm, ist Tons of runes. She can kill so fast runes just start to drop. Now that doesn’t guarantee they will all be Jah runes.

Monster loot tables would be a great idea to refine what mobs drop smaller loot choices and shoot for high density mobs of that type. Oh Check out the player 3, player 8 crap and see if that helps add into your farming. Are you solo, in group of 3 or 8?

How the hell is griffon eye drop related to title about runes.

thank you for your good attitude comment, now I’m one step closer to a pro hehe.

A real pro has zero mf :stuck_out_tongue:

not true, it’s just that, a real pro isn’t going to sacrifice kill speed for more mf. big difference.

I was sort of kidding but
to me, runes and charms are the only good items and they drop the same mf or no.
Bases is also a good reason for no mf

while that is true, it’s ok to be finding rare rings / ammys / and there’s still some good high level unique worth finding all the time, but i agree. mf isn’t very important.
