So many people use bot

I just wonder, wheather the game is a bot free game?

Nah, tons of bots
Keeps the basic gear and rune prices low at least

Kill the bots, up the drop rates. Prices will be the same.

Drop rates have always been a feature of this game. They are perfect.
Blizzard will never kill bots because bot owners always rebuy another copy of the game when they got banned.

They aren’t perfect and could use an increase for higher rune drops as well as an increase in better set armor pieces drops, a buff to sets period, a buff to uniques, a buff in drop rates for upper mid runes, too.

this is the main problem that destroys the game. bots and cheats. imo its not the lack of content but if after 1 week everyone already has a shako and its nothing special anymore all the mf runs are less fun and you quit

I don’t agree with that. If they increase drop rates I will surely quit.
There are a lot of games with much higher drop rates of GG items so all players who don’t like drop rates of D2 could easily switch to them.
Blizzard doesn’t have to change and brake fundamental things that made D2 a legendary game.

Nothing about drop rates made this game a legendary game. That’s a huge delusion, nothing more. In fact, it was quite the opposite, to the point people had to use bots to get items because otherwise you were missing out incredibly during school when this game first came out to it’s major audience; kids between 13 and 20 who played this game after their school time.

Cool, that’s alright.

As opposed to the opposite. Are you a bot user? If not, you’re being very inefficient with your time.

You could switch as well, and also, are you saying to go play a different game? If so, you could go play a different game, yourself.

No Sir, I am not a bot user and don’t support people who use bot. Sad but Blizzard will never wipe them out because botters are good source of permanent income for the company.
If you say that I can switch then be so kind to recommend me similar game with low drop rates. I can tell you about a lot of games with higher drop rates.
For me it seems that I don’t have any options about what game to play but you do.

It is very hard, sometimes impossible, to catch botters and ban them, and be able to defend the bans based on solid data. If they start banning accounts willy nilly, they will lose more reputation than what could possibly be gained.

how can you be so wrong about everything you post but think you’re so right…

the drop rates in this game are so good, it makes finding the super rare gg items worth grinding for. if you got one every other day (which is what i expect to happen with terror zones now) everyone is going to stoop playing even faster, with even more decked out characters than before…

this is sad times for diablo. you little whiners are getting what you want, you can be happy already… enjoy the e z loot zones…

They are slowly taking a classic game, that captured magic in a bottle, and watering it down for a more sensitive crowd that doesn’t believe in earning their rewards through time and effort.

I am right, the post about using Bots was full on sarcasm, if you could not tell.

How many hours is that? How many hours would you say you spent farming per day for that item, how many games? How long do you think a season should last and by what month should players be able to be fully geared, playing at least 1 hour a day, to at most 4 hours a day.

They can adjust drop rates so you don’t get one every other day, but you must also understand something, too; diablo 2 allows you to have what, 15 characters on an account? Even if it was only 5 characters, gearing up 5 characters is a long process and rightfully, it should be. It shouldn’t be the entire season, though, but it should take a long while pending on how many hours a day you put into the game. The more hours a day you spend grinding, the shorter it should be for you, not the longer.

Also as seasons start the amount of participation is high. As seasons go on then everyone either gets everything they wanted or life happens, boredom happens, etc to where they stop playing. A game is dead when the game is no longer worth keeping around, as in the company is actually losing money by keeping the game alive.

Bots don’t do anyone any favors in presentation for this game, and yet so many people use them. Why? Because the grinding for gear is absurdity and what happens to people who are at school or work? They’re losing out on grinding time for their toons/account. That’s why a lot of botters botted back in the day when this first came out. That, along with the leveling going from 85-99 was so so so bad and so crazy ridiculous long, that it warranted botting for a lot of players. 8 hours being at school or work is very costly when your games can be anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes long. That’s a lot of chances at loot missed.

That’s why botting came around I imagine, and that’s why a lot of players actually downloaded it and used it. They would use it while sleeping, while working, while at school. When they had time for they, themselves, to play then it would be turned off and they would play the account themselves. Botting is bad, but the purpose was to cut down on the amount of active farming players had to do to get their accounts decked out.

i hope this season they dont wait 1 1/2 months to ban the bots, but knowing current blizzard they probably will wait to appease the botters. If they ban too often they wont rebuy.

Ive come across a few ad bots entering, spaming in game and quickly exiting. Fix this ASAP!

The reason most of us old heads play D2 still is cause of the drop rate and the time it takes to find end game items… you remove that then u have a game just like every other game out there… leave our drop rates alone and play the game…

I agree in 8 hours in D3 your toon and follower should be fully geared and then another couple of days to min max it. It is too easy.

Welcome to online gaming botting has been around since the 90s it’s a plague like d2jsp

Who cares about bots, they are only cheating themselves and are sad people at their core. Pity them, don’t envy them.

I love people that complain that bots suck cause they make everything available week 1… But want drop rates increased so they can have everything week one… Drop rates are fine…
