Nothing yet. We’ll probably get some more info closer to ladder reset time, which is probably another month at the very least.

you think blizzard is going to give us little updates about what they think? LOL they are king of leaving us in the dark and wondering what is actually going on.

i guess all the legacy team members are asking to assistant the release of D4 LoH

I was hoping we’d get it this ladder but based on how messy the ptr was i kinda doubt it now.

Hoping theres another ptr phase with cleaned up warlock/tz changes and legacy class/item changes.

Theres also a ton of cube recipes that were added with Base RoTW that are just inactive like elemental piercing gear and uniques rerolling using standard of heroes, was kind shocked they werent on the PTR either.

They launched RotW without any PTR. They can surely launch the PTR changes with feedback taken into account by next ladder which won’t be until end of May at the earliest

I think thats terrible mistake. They should release it before as it will cause minimal damage if something will be messed up in it. If that happen, they will still have time to fix it and dont have another botched season.

let’s look at their track record in d2r though.

when they added TZs, they didn’t tweak them for what? 2 years. when it was obvious by day 3 something needed to change.

it took them HOW long to remove mosaic. i know there’s a possibility of it coming back, but they just slapped that into public servers and said “see ya later” until they realized it was breaking peoples machines.

and the last one, sunder charms. same thing, they added them to the game, and didn’t touch them until now, and now they’ve made them the complete opposite, impossible to find almost. rare than HRs by a longshot, and people have trouble finding those.

needless to say, this company has no clue how to add things to their game, and when they do, they do not patch it soon enough if it isn’t good for the game, they just leave things that shouldn’t be in the game for too long and it’s honestly embarrassing to watch sometimes.

i think blizzard stopped to fund the legacy team after 2023 MS acquisition, and get rid of almost all the headcount, of couse they did nothing except resetting the ladder every three months.

They pickup this project from oblivion just for the marketing purpose of D4 LoD which has the new class warlock also.

Main Problem is probably fact that there is nobody left in Blizzard who actively play Diablo 2. I mean someone who play it from release as many of us who would have great game knowledge. Thats clearly is missing. Based on the content we are given, someone there know D2, but not on deep level.

but at the same time, I don’t think it is that bad. At least, they recognize their lack of knowledge and ask streamers. Streamers are not that good at balancing, but we have to be honest, Warlock is fun and this is a well-thought class. So, if they do PTR for each balance and gather feedback, it is fine for me. It is like having a beta version of a game and we are the beta testers. Of course, they have to listen to the communities and have okayish devs to set the level.

Yeah, but it was also to test the hype.
If the sells are good, no one will refuse free money, specially greedy blizzard.
D2R players are old and “rich”. Some will accept to pay for QOL. The game is finished, so any contents is easy to add on. In Mc Do, tiy have the mc fish. It is clearly not the popular choice, they still make money.

So, I think they could new classes or new contents. Don’t expect mindblowing, but maybe like an area similar to both games. It is easy to implant, like there is a town for the amazon in d4. Side-quest there.
