Snowclash Question

I am curious why the belt Snowclash is not a top tier belt or at least more recommended for blizzard sorceresses. While there are much better survivability options Snowclash provides a nice chunk of dps. What am I missing?

I think damage is not a real problem for most Blizz sorcs anyway, so belts get chosen not only by pure dps but by overall value combined with the rest of the gear.
Arach has 1 less skill to Blizzard but adds faster cast which is overall better, Tals belt is usually used for the 3 set bonus, adds magic find and also FCR with the 3set bonus and even Goldwrap is sometimes best in slot for MF/gold find.
The 15% max cold res from Snowclash is OK but cold damage isn’t really a problem later on.
If you can reach your 105% FCR and a reasonable amount of MF without the belts mentioned above Snowclash is also a good option imho.

Can only talk about PvE though, maybe the max cold res is relevant in PvP.

Good point about not really needing more damage output. I don’t have Archnids Mesh yet so I would be losing to less skills. Strange enough my belt options are all not the best though I do have Tals and Goldwrap.

Yes but what is FCR for a bliz sorc? It isn’t needed. You only need enough to make tp insta. I get that from Occy and Spirit, which are pretty standard gear.

I think Snowclash is probably the best in most cases for the bliz sorc. But he has a point about not needing damage. At least on p=1.

Everything below 105% FCR feels kinda meh when teleporting, but that’s of course personal preference. I’d rather pass on a bit of damage than a breakpoint for teleporting.
