Which will you choose to first? Rush your way to the ladder (if there was one)

im gonna go single player first to be honest, I want to soak in the views, the details without feeling rushed by newbies.
Ill be spending my time like this, 2/3 of my time on SC, building up my back up chars, and 1/3 on HC.
Edit - dave if you want to play multi and take your time, join us in our clan, it’s all about the journey.
I’m torn between classic on bnet or single player. I’ll make decision closer to launch to see if they give classic shared stash or give SP access to ubers in addition to the ladder only runewords recently confirmed.
as a no lifer and non ladder player. I am just going to play Bnet. Unless they announce some kind of replacement for TCP/IP to allow single player characters to play together, I am less likely to even care about single player for a long time.
I could care Less about Ladder rankings, it’s about the the access too full content, crafting and Creating, Upping gear, creating rune words, that can’t be done on None ladder. I will be upset if they don’t ungate Ladder rune words while they run there trial and error phase at Live having insight is a quality of Life. it’ll make me go play single player. I only play NL when I have ran Ladder a few times to get gear and equipment needed from Ladder. i.e. established duelers with ladder gear.

Online Battle.net Ladder all the way. The only time I ever played Single Player was years ago when I lived with my mom and dad still, and the internet got cut off a few times because my dad has always been a self employed carpenter making decent money, but supporting his wife, and 5 children. Hard times, but even when I played Single Player me and my dad would play when we couldn’t get on Battle.net to play D2.
What shall I do in D2R at release? The same thing I do every night of game release! 1
Play on Bnet now that our chars won’t expire in 90 days. I can play at my own pace, enjoy the nostalgia, play with friends if I want, and just chill.
We shall see if I get back to 89 or not. heh. I sadly lost all my closed Bnet chars which were all the leveled and geared ones due to time and life. It will take me forever and that is fine.
1 Really I am usually on the forums helping people get the game working or sort out issues.

I’ll play single player or perhaps with 1 or 2 friends like I have for the last 20 years.
Since ladder runewords will be available on single player, I will most likely start with that and take my time enjoying the new look of the game. After that, I will probably jump into the second or third ladder.
I would go for classic until ladder comes, but the lack of a shared stash is a terrible decision. If I play I guess I’ll either do classic on bnet or non ladder and rageeee
All my classic characters are gone from back in the day. Not that it would matter that much because I gave away all my gear when I quit playing.
Definitely going to play multiplayer. I’m not going to try to speedrun it, just enjoy the new scenery along the way. I’ll probably start off with a necro and then when I get bored of him work on a MF sorc. If I find a titan’s or buriza I will roll an amazon. I also loved playing the assassin but she never seemed to get much love (didn’t even get into HotS). I think in the cannon of the game she became the demon hunter and abandoned her old fighting style.

Single. Not fussed about the lack of a ladder with regards to the scoring mechanisms, but not being able to access ladder only items from day 1 is a deal breaker for me.
I would prefer multiplayer, but if the only wsy to access those items is single…then single is what i’ll be doing
Bnet…if ladder runewords will be implemented on day 1. If not…dunno probably i’ll w8 for the season
Since there wont be a ladder right away ill focus on leveling my non-ladder werebarb that ill eventually offload my ladder runewords onto.
Itll be nice to play the game without those op runewords and actually watch people fail and die trying to complete the game.
Something i missed was actually having to work as a team rather then having lone wolf sorceresses solo everything in 8 player games lol.
I’ll definitely start on bnet, the beginning of any game or season is a magical time, where there is a lot of people at every level and it’s just quite enjoyable to start together. Maybe later I’ll move to SP and hop between ladder and SP.
