Single Player in Hell with Crescent Moon and Lightning Sorc, doing what appears to be zero damage to lightning immunes. What am I not understanding about the -35% to Enemy Lightning Resistance. Shouldn’t I be able to damage and kill lightning immunes?
To actually break a Lightning Immunity, you need Conviction, a Sunder Charm, or Lower Resist.
Here’s a page that explains it a bit more and lists out various monster resistances.
Once the immunity is broken items with - LR will lower the enemy resistance further, increasing your damage.
Since getting Conviction on a non-Paladin requires Infinity, which is expensive, your best bet is likely to shop for a wand with Lower Resist curses. That will break the immunity of many monsters, and Crescent Moon will lower it further.
As a sorc, some enemies it just makes more sense to tele past if you can’t hurt them. Some you have to fight you should be able to get by with a combination of LR and having a well geared mercenary kill them for you.
