Hello. When i see ppl play Singer barb on yt. I Never see Them use a spirit shield. For some Block. Why is that? They only use 2x 1 hand
Spirit shields have crappy blockrate and slow block animation. with 110fhr it’s better not to block but regain control over your character earlier and keep on shouting.
With the new FHR/Block animation times, it changed a little but it’s still not worth putting on a spirit shield.

Their efficiency to farm trav often puts you to have a hoto before a spirit monarch lol
I personally use 2 spirits. Sword and shield.
Not for the block obv but for the resists, the mana which is must cause singer devours mana, and vitality.
And i have no problem to clear trav within 40-50 secs.
Tho when use find items, if use, always switch to 2 xAlibaba

When I made mine in the Original Diablo LoD ‘I’ used two Heart of the Oak Flails both for resistances and boosts for his shouts and warcries, He was very effective buffing the party doing Uber events, As for resistances…Well even the Ubers had a hard time bring him down and the party was dying all around him
Well, Faster Cast and + Skills are more important for a Singer Barb than block.
Wielding 2 Heart of the Oak gives +1 more skill and +5% Faster Cast than you can get with Spirit Shield. It also has better resistances, and +15% Max Mana. All reasons to pick it over a Spirit Shield.

High stat requirements. You need 156 str for Spirit, and some points in Dex for block rate to be meaningful. Those points are better spent in Vit, since you don’t have any life leech.
Singer doesn’t really need block anyway because everything in melee range gets stunned, and taunt can deal with ranged attackers. The only thing you are scared of is the occasional Lightning/Fire or Lightning/Cold enchanted, which can melt health fast at close range, and block doesn’t help there anyway. Natural resist compensates for losing resist from a Spirit shield.
