Can we get an answer on this? Are we to suck it up and stick with the character or are we getting the levels/gear/and progression back? Lost everything between the two restarts and would like to know if I should play what I have or wait until it’s restored. Right now it’s utter crickets and I think you owe people at least that much so they know how to proceed.
I’m prob not playing until tomorrow, since at any time the progress can be wiped. Lost like 5 hours, on my second roll back. An hour or so on my first rollback.
Just play and deal with it.
Roll with the punches man. It’s launch day.
Chill.
I agree 100%, atleast let us know what the f*** is going so i dont waste another 3 hours
i sure would like to know if i will get back my zon i wouldnt bother making a new one if i knew… llol
anyways im thinking sadly that playing d2r today might not happen lol
No man, time is the most valuable commodity for a human being and I just lost 3 hours of it. I don’t want to roll with the punches, dont release something that is so FLAWED if that was the case. Now what do we do? Waste another 3 hours?
Don’t play I guess?
Shrug.
Even just a confirmation that our progress has been lost would be nice. I don’t have a ton of time to play, so losing 4 hours of progress is a huge deal.
It makes it so much harder for me to pick up the game again.
Could roll with it, if progress was saved. I hate act 2 and was almost done with it.
They can’t reply because they don’t know. Until they figure it out people don’t have a choice but to be patient. Not saying you shouldn’t be frustrated or anything, but they can’t give info they don’t yet have. It’s a waiting game
rollbacks happen because the server didn’t properly update or save your character data as you played - so that **** is just gone - it’s not coming back
e: happened to me too, lost my andy kill and unique wand
We won’t know, because Blizzard won’t know, until the servers display a bit more stability over a longer period. For those of us who don’t want to have rollbacks, it makes sense to avoid playing today, at least, and perhaps tomorrow as well, depending on what we see happening with the servers. The pending weekend worries me, because if the servers are having issues with load, it will likely be a problem this weekend as well, because it’s likely a lot of players will be slamming the servers this weekend, especially since the demo for this game skews older (more time to play on weekends than midday on a weekday, generally). So it may be that people who want more likelihood of stable servers and fewer possibilities of rollbacks need to wait until things calm down next week.

Unless you work for Blizzard, please stop answering questions as if you do. I’m ok with things going wrong. I’m not ok with it being ignored and stonewalling on the issue. Perhaps they believe we’ll simply forget we lost 5 hours of game progress. Telling people to “not play” and them getting rolled back is essentially the same outcome and tbh it’s not a very good answer. I think people would like some acknowledgement and mea culpa that this happened.
