I’m new to Diablo 2 and I was wondering if the Siege on Harrogath reward can be saved on every difficulty until you reach Hell or will I lose the reward completely once I jump from Normal to Nightmare if I don’t use it?
You can save all rewards on all difficulties.

Thanks for clarifying, Catastrophe. I wasn’t even sure if I could jump between difficulties after moving forward.
You can save it for later. The same applies to Charsi’s imbue and Akara’s respec. You can save these type of reward indefinitely regardless of you jumping into another difficulty.

All rewards can be saved. Save your respects for when you need them, imbues for when you are are high level, and socket rewards until you have items you want to socket. Diadems are the best to use imbues on, preferably at level 90+.

You dont lose anything. Once you played enough you most likely will meet people who rush you. Then you make a character, get rushed to hell, and later on go back to normal/nightmare and make those quests. You can then save your sockets/imbue quests.

Diadem’s qlvl + mlvl > 99 therefore they can be imbued as early as lvl 8 and will have a chance to roll any affixes like +2 skill and etc.
Since it’s a question related to this quest, I figured I’d ask this here:
I’m currently on normal, will ANY crystal/broadswoard roll 4 sockets from Larzuk’s quest regardless of its source (drops from act 1-5 normal, that is)?
No. Only a Crystal/Broad Sword from certain areas in act 5 Normal or from Normal Cows will roll 4 sockets from Larzuk. If it’s from an earlier act or the first few zones in Normal Act V it will only get 3 sockets because it won’t be a high enough level to get 4. It needs to be ilvl26+ for 4 sockets, and you don’t get enemies that high until Act V and Cows.
And for Crystal sword you also need it to be below ilvl 40, otherwise it can get 6 sockets. I think the Worldstone Keep and Throne Room in Normal are 40+ so that would be too high to get 4 sockets on a Crystal Sword. Broad Sword caps at 4 sockets so a Broad Sword from those areas should still be okay.
Most people will get theirs from Cows since that will guarantee 4 sockets for both Crystal Sword or Broad Sword.

Ill give you fast leveling tip.
1-12 Old Tristam runs as a group.
Kill Andy
Do Act 2,
15-20 Tal Rasha Tomb runs as a group.
Do Act 3, 4
Run normal cows groups 20-24
Do Act 5, kill Ancients.
25-45 normal Baal as a group.
Go NM Act 1-5.
45-75 NM Baal.
Go Hell Act1-5
Hell Baal.
At high 70s start MF. NM Mephisto is very good, especially as Sorc.,Use 4 ptopaz chest, 2-3 ptopaz helm and blue/rare gear with MF. Starter gear is cheap now. Try to get chance guards and goldwrap.
All reward quests on all difficulties you can do later in 70s. It will be easy pew pew.
