Shared stash please

need 2 more shared stash limit.

After two seasons and couple of completed builds, I need more stash so characters can share items. the current 3 stash is simply not enough.

Well more storage space in general right?

I mean does it have to be shared? I think 3 tabs is pretty good, if I had unlimited characters I would have no complaints on storage especially with how big the normal stash is now.

The shared process and being able to move items from X character to Y is very nice no long needing mule games, and I would certainly welcome more tabs, but if you could mule everything off wouldn’t that be easier and or better?

This, plus a currency tab and more character slots.

  1. End game D2 involves lots of re-rolling/crafting/ubers, which requires lots of gems/runes/jewels/keys, which requires mules. A currency tab would remove the need for mules.
  2. We’ve had new runewords and charms added to the game, which need to be kept somewhere.
  3. We have some more builds becoming viable - which is great - but no character slots to build them.

Please add this QOL, devs. 40 character slots and no mules would be great!

i dont get tired of repeating it

  • +2 (3 total) personal tabs per char
  • currency tab
  • +20-30 char slots

then im done with space

They need to let us just buy stash tabs. Solves all storage problems.

If thats your take, why not just buy a second copy of the game?

How will buying a second copy solve anything? Lol

20 more characters and 3 more shared stashes to store stuff on? Wdym?

3 shared stash tabs are ok for me, but I need more character slots on the same account. I am 1 Person, I should not have to create multiple personas (accounts) just to make more builds and play more modes

For one, there is the stash memory overflow problem. The stash needs to be redone anyways unless blizzard likes to run routine unique item identifier check to weed out dupers. So might as well do an increased stash space while solving the memory overflow prob.

because you would literally have to be running it on a second computer to trade it with yourself…

Personally would prefer shared storage much more than mules, would also really like a currency tab.

IMO it really depends.

If it’s between 1 more shared tab vs. no limit to character slots, then yeah, unlimited character slots to use as mules and having 4 shared tabs to transfer items and leave some for characters to share would be better.

But mules in general are a pain since you have to be meticulous in labeling/documenting what’s there and have to actually log into a game with them to confirm what’s in their stash/inv and move it into a shared area if you want to access it. If we have “sufficient” (I realize that definition is different for every player and some claim we have more than sufficient now) shared tabs to do away with mules completely, then that’s way easier IMO since you wouldn’t have to do any of the character swapping dance or out-of-game documentation of what’s where. Plus then you can leave your character slots to focus only on characters you actually want to play.

It’s helpful but it’s not connected by the shared stash, which as you’ve mentioned, is really nice to eliminate the sometimes risky solo muling situation of moving items between accounts.

Yup.

My personal wish list that I think would be reasonable for them to offer is:
-We’d have 50-100 character slots
-“Currency” items like runes/gems/keys/esc would stack in inventory (or have a special currency inventory tab/UI), but not in inv so it doesn’t change the inv management side of things.
-Bump up shared tabs enough that mules really are only required for the most hardcore or most hoarding players. Not sure exactly what the right number here is, maybe 6 to 10.

I’d also be okay with some of the changes people have proposed like swapping some shared tabs for more personal tabs per char, which could give you more storage, but then that start to eat into character slots again (although if your player characters had more stash then they wouldn’t necessarily need mules so…

So what I do is a mules character name tells you whats on it. No documentation unless you’re making a trade thread. If you make a trade thread what I do is list EVERYTHING once and only modify it if something moves off. Then I have one mule that sits until organization time. When I have too many items on that mule and main character, I start updating my list and moving the items to the proper mule. So a character like BeltsBoot only has belts and boots and a character named Armor only has armors, sometimes it is Armor/Belts in the old days because you’d always have 12 or 14 slots for belts that would be wasted otherwise.

Multi account launcher and trade screen.
Friend in game chilling

Not ideal, but we used them in LOD. I for sure wouldn’t bother with it if I had unlimited characters, but soon I will have too much for one account.

Multi launcher OR friend in game both work.
Obviously not ideal either one of those, but they work.

I do that to an extent but for sone things it’s easier than others. I definitely could improve my organization, but I just think it would be easier all in one place accessible by all characters rather than still muling.

lol multi launcher could get BOTH copies banned. you really are one of those “if I don’t see a use case it doesn’t exist” kind of people aren’t you?

I would be fine with 50 namable stash tabs and only 30 characters probably (I feel like some people play NL+Lad+HC+SC so maybe they need that many). That would be cool too. I just found that my way of organization worked before stash tabs, but stash tabs would FOR SURE make it easier.

Actually I think the game should have unlimited character and probably some very high amount of stash tabs per account, with unlimited account creation possiblity. All the storage and organization you could ever ask for.

Meanwhile in 22 years between LOD and D2R nobody has ever been banned for running multiple copies of D2R. Not only that you don’t have to run multiple on one PC. Not only that you use a cloud gaming account to load another one. Not only that there is nothing stating that running multiple copies is against the rules. But hey at least you pretended like it was a bannable offense lol.

yes they have. I’ve read several topics on it. it’s literally in their tos and I’m not risking my entire account for a workaround because you think it invalidates a valid point that was made.

No they haven’t. They lied after using something else. Nobody has ever been banned for running multiple copies. And please find in the ToS where you can’t own multiple copies of the game.
