Had some godtier gear and a thul rune disappear on me in my shared stash. Offline on PS5. Seems to happen after saving and quitting after completing an act. It happened after Act II and again after Act III.
This happened to me as well. Excellent point on the Act change-over. I was also using an Offline character and I Saved/Logged out after finishing Act I. Came back a few hours later and my shared stash was empty.
Shelved the game after the first day and been watching the patch notes ever since. Very annoying that this is STILL going on.

You can safely transfer items from shared stash to mules until this is fixed, but granted it is very annoying to do this.

Dont bother/risk transferring gear from shared stash to mules , i did exactly this made a load of mules, spent hours moving/organising all my crap only the next play session 6 of the mules no longer existes, a ton of gear/runes/time lost.

It’s not just after completing an act unless it also takes into account other offline characters you have. I started an Amazon after my Sorceress reached act 2. My Amazon hasn’t left act 1 and stuff still gets randomly deleted.
( Nope that wasn’t it.)Might have found a solution. On PS4 try turning of auto upload save data for Diablo 2. Noticed that it would upload save data for the stash and I’m wondering if it’s not redownloading it as well.
