I just purchased the game on switch. I already own it on pc and xbox. I was hoping to be able to continue playing on my online ladder characters at a friend/family members place. But ever since I got the game, I connected my account and each time I try to boot it up, it says the estimated wait time in the queue is greater than 2 hours and goes to the main menu. If I attempt to select online again, I get an error message that reads: “An issue occurred while communicating with the game servers. Please check that you are connected to the internet and try again.”
I’ve done everything that can possibly be done to resolve this issue that I am aware of. The switch is connected to the internet and can run diablo 3 online just fine. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I even went to a different house with faster internet and tried again only to have the exact same result. Is anyone aware of a fix for this issue? The only posts I’ve seen mentioning this issue appear to be from last year. Has the issue been going on that long and does blizzard intend to address it?
