EU server am i the only lagging and character teleporting back to previous location? i check my pc nothing is being downloaded or updated

It’s not just you. The Lagspikes & Rubberbanding have been getting worse lately, to the point of the game being unplayable for me. Restarting the client helped some times, but not every time. Right now I recommend you do what I did, switch to the US Region. The ping will slightly be worse, but no rubberbanding so far.

Since last update some games you created are very laggy and today now super laggy in EU server can’t really play at all sucks, pls fix it!
maybe eu servers will be maintained? that is the reason for lag spikes maybe?
With the “current events” of this wonderful world we live on, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if there are some major DDoS events going on right now that is flooding the available bandwidth for a large number of people.
Diablo 2’s netcode is horrible at handling packet loss and/or high ping jitter… DDoS attacks can cause packet loss and/or high ping jitter.
If servers are under maintenance, they are usually taken offline temporarily. I don’t mind switching to the US Servers, considering the Region you pick has no impact on your Characters. (Meaning you can just play your “EU” Characters on US Servers and vice versa. Still, a bit weird that the Rubberbanding has gotten this bad.

I got this too. Also when I click on Battle order and skills like that, it get spammed continuesly.
Getting lost of friggery in southwest USA as well.
Get to run across the same piece of ground several times as the game keeps putting me back to where I started.
Teleport to position/save the Zoo/Merc and I get the noise, but no animation or resultant move.
Run across the same pile of gold several times, and no pick-up.
Switch to my off hand caster stuff to zoom- zoom River of Flame… and I’m so slow I have to double check I actually did the swap.
Clearing Chaos TZ right now feels like I’m solo’n P6 or better… and, going through 400+ arrows to do so, when I typically use 100-125…
I’ve reset my modem/PC, gone to hard wire/cable and shut of the wireless… to no effect.
Sure makes things interesting.
Same on Americas. I made a topic about it. I think blizzard is just choking right now. Can only speculate as to why. Bots, bad servers, bad game design, bad network equipment, bad actors, dunno… just know its BAD.

Serious Rubber-Banding (even in Town) in EU Region
Played yesterday was all fine
Today - not a day for Harcore adventures
This game became completetly unplayable after the maintaence in HC i can only be in town not even reaching Akara because i get ruberbanded back to my stash
unplayable, it’s broken
andy tz was fine for me and then chaos got a bit sketch so i signed off. was hoping it would be better for tal rasha coming up. tryna hit 97.
It’s unplayable again.
