Season 9 end, create new Ladder char?

I’ve been off d2r for a while,
I understand that we’re in the middle of Season 9, which should end at the end of this November or early October(?).
I wonder if it’s “worth” creating a new ladder character for such a short time…
What do you think?

Season 8 started August 23, which we’re a bit over two months into.

A 3 month season would put the reset around Thanksgiving, which is usually a no-go.

A 4 month season would put the reset around Christmas time/New Years which is a no-go.

So my guess is we’re looking at a 5 month span for season 8, with a reset late January of '25, that is of course as long as it doesn’t interfere with Diablo 4’s schedule, which if it does, could make season 8 longer.

As far as it being “worth it” to create a new character, that’s entirely up to you. The player market is flooded with rare items, so gearing up should be fairly easy by farming consumables like perfect gems, spirit rune packs and keysets.

If there is no information about new ladder in 2-3 weeks this can hit of ladder in January. If its at the end of November there is no point in playing ladder imho. This would leave about 3 weeks of this ladder. I think its better to test next ladder build in nonladder not to be rusty.

No, there have been no official announcements of an upcoming reset yet. They typically announce ladder resets two weeks in advance.

I think they will keep the 3 months season length.
D3 Season 33 starts end of October.
D2R will start probably end of November or early December with the 22 nights of terror buffs 2-3 weeks after.
D4 Season 7 will be in January, so we have enough time between.
The new ladder announcement should be soon, think in the next 2 weeks.

We can tell USA we found oil and will tell them where it is if they do a early reset :slight_smile: then tell them its in their gas stations.

if not it will be early december, maybe 1st week

According to corporate America, Christmas now begins 2 weeks before Halloween.

Don’t expect anything.

It’s not that… It’s that pretty much everyone at Blizzard would be on vacation during that time. Even though resetting the ladder is as simple as pressing a button, they’ll want to have staff on hand in case for some reason it isn’t as simple as pressing a button.

I hope they will reset in thursday pacific time zone. So here, in Europe, we can start new ladder at friday.

Why ?I see no issue there. If they dont have anything new which could break, they could easily start somewhere before christmass.

They will try to sell D4 during holidays. Any other games are a distraction from what will make them most money.
