Season 5 Patch Notes

Nothing.

That is all, thank you.

I’m beyond disappointed. If they gave us just 1 change out of a handful of things that a huge portion of the player base are asking for, like a loot filter, I’d be over the moon. Just 1 thing. For real. I’d even pay for that. But nothing? This is such an insult to the player base.

Thank you for the summary.

I don’t like these changes…

Yeah I wanted new content and the commonly requested changes.

The most disappointing fact is that they couldn’t just tell us this a month ago when everyone started asking. They new then and actively ignored us. That is the true disappointment in this update.

I don’t know why some people are upset about no changes. I don’t want them to change this game. Other than quality of life. I don’t want seasonal themes, those are stupid.

Like, just reset the ladder. That’s what’s supposed to happen. And that’s what’s happening.

That’s what the majority wants, that’s all I want, more Quality of Life additions. And there’s plenty of it that could be done. That’s the extent of it, as I as well as many others don’t trust them to make an expansion without wrecking the game.

I know why we’re not getting anything besides a reset this time…

:point_right: Too focused on deborking their cash cow Diablo 4 :point_left:

Yeah, I get that. I would like them to step back mosaic a bit, but I could care less about additions. I’m just annoyed at the lack of communication when they knew this was going to be all for a while.

Blizzards communication is relatively simple… If they say nothing, then expect nothing. No communication sucks, but it is what it is, you have to take it at face value.

If there is something coming, they will often leave a breadcrumb trail for us to track. Plus, there is Blizztrack.com, which hasn’t been very active at all during the past several months for D2:R. There was an update in late August, but it was apparently just updating several sprite images.

Yeah fair enough. Like they should really have moved Cain back by now in act 5.

“Anything” has been nerfed into the ground, no longer viable.

Nothing recieves a colossal buff, now being the only top S tier build available this patch.

Well, thats disappointing.

I just want a basic loot filter, thats it!

Ugh

Why is nobody discussing the patch notes? That time shift in season start is neat.

With tz , sunder charms , and Ma sin buff for allow casual players compite with botters or ppl who spend gf ( from forbidden web) to be geread after 1 week of season. Game is absoluty balanced an does not need any change more in next 10 years.

Game has been there for 20 years. We have achieved more updates since d2r launch till s3 than last 10 years of lod b4 d2r.

This game is not a suscription base game, is a game permanently on sale very cheap to buy. Its time to stop changing it , and let it how it is forever, just bringing new season, perhaps evey 2 years a couple of runewords, but not much OP cuz i dont wanna see d2r as happens in d3 , with sets doing 30.000% incresed damage ruiining all games soul. If devs continue adding improvements and then adding new content or dificulties to give players a challenge , d2r will finish being a d3.

I say keep changing it but comminucate changes with player base more, test it on PTR a lot.

I haven’t expected major balance changes, but at least bug fixes, so that my iron golem doesn’t die so easy when life tapped, but they did NOTHING AT ALL.

It’s 54.99 here in Canada; I wouldn’t call that cheap. That said, I agree that the danger is real. I would not like to see this game degenerate into something like D3 or D4. I had hoped that D2:R would be less full of cheats than D2 was. That’s not happening, but there have been some decent QOL improvements…though I really miss near-instant loading screens, hehe.

I’d like to at least occasionally see more interesting but not OP items, perhaps focused on low-mid level so as not to power creep current Exceptional/Elite items, or on creating more build variety, like for instance Trang set items giving fireball to non-necros(had fun with that on a Singer Barb once). For now, there are at least some relatively achievable runewords to play with.

For me, highest on my list of hopes for D2:R now is most definitely engine optimization. I realize that it’s a strange Frankentein’s monster of two engines, and that’s a difficult proposition… but if I’m going to buy the same full-price game twice, I’d like it to be worth playing.

a tiny loot filter in the options menu is really what we want
is so simple

also they need to widen the areas of maggot lair and arcane sanc…running these places in single file lines in a 8 player game is so stupid…also makes these areas pure hell for some builds

Mummy Blizzard gave me nuthin for X-mas now Im sad in the corner, banging my head against the wall, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what shall I do? Mommy, gieb, gieb!

About the loot filter. There is already one that exists using mods(working online). I’ve used it a year ago and it is absolutely awesome! Runes have colors, etc. You can customize drop items as well.
Why you don’t use this one? This is officially supported by mods engine.
