Season 3 Players x command

Hope to see this implemented in season 3 or we will see the same streamers top of ladder again, and the same botters controlling the market.

and you think that players X will, change anything? this streamer probably put more hours to get 99 than you did for whole season. and botters will benefit more than you because of higher uptime.

Players X is even worse than Terror Zones. go play single player if you want to play solo. also there is BTDiablo where you have offline play and ladder. Bet you already got your rank1 there.

Here we go again.

ye exactly. here we go again and try to force implementing single player features to multiplayer. if you want to play solo and not interact with others - go single player. With patch 2.5 this game has no difficulty whatsoever. Get good instead of posting on forum

Nobody controls the market. And players X would have zero affect on the amount of botters.
Same streamers will be on top again regardless of players X command. They have more time to play than you, so they will hit 99 first. It has nothing to do with players X

There is also a search feature where you can find topics that are already created on the subject at hand. Instead of creating a brand new thread that offers not only zero additional viewpoints, but actually only falehoods. Crazy impressive how not only could you bring up a subject, and attempt to make a point about it to zero affect.

yeah i aggre, no way regular gamer beat streamer that dedicated his/her life to be the top no1 in ladder list. they get money from streaming, not everybody that have same life path as them.

but, i would like to have player x command, i dont want to compete in same map with other players, its more relaxing game

Lol no. We wont.

You would see that anyway.

They would dominate even more.

Tell me:

How long does it take you to get to hell and your first torch?

How many 99 do you have on current ladder?

You just don’t know what you are talking about and players command would not change anything you listed. It would help streamer and bots even more than anyone else.

I wish blizzard will ban every player who suggested/demand player x comment on bnet during season 3, so they can go play single player with the comment that worth dying for for them.

Nah, they should just set up “Open Bnet” and let people host (paid) servers there.

Then those folks could play their modded versions and leave the original alone.

It’s the same 5 people on every thread posting over and over that players x command is bad somehow. Most players like the idea of having players x command online, it is the minority who are against it.

Awaiting the proof of this.

Can you kindly offer or provide some concrete evidence to support the above claim?
Enlighten us how the majority wants it. Cheers!

I think the closest thing to proof you can get is the surveys from streamers many months ago.

Whether you accept those results or not is your person choice.

Not sure what % of the playerbase was interested in an online pX command.

If there is anything that I’d like to see them do, it is this…

Lock the item nodrop% rate to 3 players (non party), regardless of how many are in the game.

  • It’d give a small boost to drops for solo players primarily from trash monsters/minions/containers.
  • It’d eliminate the drop rate advantage that multiboxers enjoy versus those with just a single account.
  • It’d eliminate the primary reason people snipe and potentially ruin questing games, just to increase drops.
  • It’d make the play choice very clear: Play solo for drops, play multi for experience gain.
  • Games with 2 to 3 players would still have acceptable drop rates from trash monsters/minions/containers.
  • Drops from Unique and Champion monsters would remain unchanged.

Then honestly I wouldn’t care if /players X was available online, as long as you couldn’t set it below the actual player count and of course could not change it on-the-fly while in game. Although I think a separate “Monster Power” modifier would be better, that way the true player count remains independent as far as affecting monster difficulty.

Well original need changes too, or there could be pretty funny situation where most people would rather play modded version someone made than original, that would be quite embarassing :joy:.

But yeah blizz miss interesting opportunity to have some money from paid private servers. It would hae been perfect for mods jor just small communities.

I didn’t like any of the mods in OG. I liked parts from them like plugy stash. I was pretty happy with the OG though.

But it would be good for everybody if there were private servers hosted by blizz, so people could choose what they prefer and play with their friends/family/community without ruining d2r and if a mod becomes a lot more popular, they might introduce changes to D2R.

I’m an old-school player that used to play Ladder-only. I hadn’t played for over a decade, but picked D2R up a couple months ago. Since S2 has already been going on for a while I decided to just play around on SP until the next reset.

Whoo boy! I’ve been enjoying it so much, I’m having a hard time justifying going back to Ladder! /Players X is just sooo good for the extra challenge, drops, and XP. I do miss MP and trading though, but I just feel like I’d be slogging through mud to do it. Adding /players X to S3 would be the #1 thing they could do to tempt me back.

What I think would be a decent way to implement it though would be on game creation, where you can set a minimum player count to act as a baseline. Like, you could set /p5, then the game would always be players 5 until 6+ people were in it, then actual player count would kick in until it drops back below 5. Being able to change it on the fly in-game would be clunky and prone to trolling, not to mention being rather “game-y”.
