I just used my Holy Fire Paladin to put “Tir” and “Ral” runes into a Mechanics Gnarled Staff, hoping to get “Leaf”. I almost opened a bug ticket before I realized it was a magic item.
At least these are very cheap runes, but I thought I’d bring this up to y’all: got to watch out for those blue items; they can’t be rune worded.

I managed to get my collection up to a Thul, some Ort, and then some uber common runes. Damn I can’t wait for launch.

Nice of you to inform other new players, btw. If you would like to get to know some mechanics deeper, I think Dbrunski125 on youtube just did the exact video, like order of the runes has to be exact, you cannot put them in magic to make a runeword, etc.
Can’t wait for the launch either. For now I have got a quick fix that will probably be enough until launch. Already farmed 2 nagels (one 30%), sanders boots for 40% frw with stealth and leaf. Some MF rare gloves and been running andy/countess for a while on fire dudu 
I saw someone running around with a Jah Ith Ber griswald heart before.
He was complaining that the runeword did not work.
Blizzard’s “Arreat Summit” site is still the best place I go to for info, as the information there is still accurate for D2:R, I would recommend giving it a look.

Of course. Cannot wait to get an actual character running instead of a temporary one. Still was quite fun to farm stuff, even if they get deleted.

Sure am. That’s why I burned charsi quest on a long sword lol. Got 2% mana leach so it didn’t turn out that bad actually.
I have used mine on a dudu helmet with +2 boulder. Didn’t get anything nice though

This Beta has been very good for me on a number of levels: it allowed me to practice, learn, try things, and understand leveling up. It also satiated my curiosity.
I used it to try a barbarian build I have never really used before. I always went dual wield frenzy or ww barb.
On the beta I tried using stun and concentrate and quite enjoyed it. I might actually go for a 2h berserk/ww barb as my first char when the game goes live.
