Rune removal that doesn't destroy runes?

What do you guys think about a change to the horadric cube recipe that removes runes but doesn’t destroy the runes? Too much to ask? Just curious.

No, it will make game easier unless price for it will be really high.

Yeah I’m good with how it already is.

Would harshly depleted the value of runes because you could just recycle them

infinite chance to roll perfect runewords…greeeeat…uh so how about no?

This explains perfectly why should not happen

no, you cant have your runes back if you put them in wrong. Inflation is high enough allready during a Ladder

Llama is dead on. If you can get all your runes back you make the ‘range’ of mods on the runewords obsolete. Everyone will just start re-rolling everything when it’s not perfect. The balance to that is it’s too costly to constantly re-roll things, in that case why change the recipe.

So many changes that makes no sense and breaks the game, you guys act like a bunch of amateurs. Don’t even think about having a good idea unless you see outside the box and all the perspectives, otherwise your ideas are as biased as anyone else.

I’d love to salvage the runes and gems, some of these things are too damn hard to find.

Would destroy game as mentioned above….unlimited re-rolls

Don’t care about that part personally, it’s too difficult to find the high level runes for me.

well then this game just isn’t for u.

Maybe you’ll be better off playing single player and hoping they have a drop mod made ext?
Game would die in multiplayer pretty quick if everyone could just have everything and re-roll runewords ext

/thread lol

play offline solo in /players 8 then.
or modded version.

High runes ARE supposed to be difficult / long to find. They are what is needed to get the best items in the game afterall.
What’s the point of a farming game if the best items are easy to get ?

Yeah, but we need to have some end to the farming. It could be endless this way.

that’s the purpose of a farming game. An endless quest to improve your equipement and characters.
There is always room to improve and it’s a good thing that it is so.

Just set yourself some specific goal , even relatively easy one if you are rather casual.
Reach those goals and then see if you want to continue playing by trying more goals or simply stop there.

in diablo 2 you don’t HAVE to have every best items , you can make do with more common options and it’s pretty ok to do so.

Exactly. Getting the handful of high runes is crazy enough.

Have a full family now, can’t worry about wasting these things if I want to try out other runewords and such.

Horrible idea. Whats the point of having ranges on stats on runewords if you can with a hel rune, just reroll it all. ugh

indeed , it all depends on the goals you are setting on yourself.

I can’t play much anymore aswell , yet i set my goal as : trying holy grail as self loot.
It’s the craziest goal , with little time to play it’ll probably take me a decade…but hey i’ll have fun with it whether i reach that goal or not , each item found will be a little joy , hence why i don’t want increased drop rate , otherwise it would feel to me less joyous as easier that i wanted it to be, i want it to be tedious and long otherwise if it would be an easy goal i wouldn’t find much joy in it , but that’s my personal playstyle, you can very well simply try to find a specific goal like making enigma or X builds :stuck_out_tongue:
