I have an eth 5os rune master.
I read that it would be good for a Tesladin to zod and fill the rest with lightning facets.
Would love to hear if anyone knows of any other practical uses for it!
Its only useable if its 5 sox and eth.
U can do 1x zod in it and 4x 15ias 40ed jewels. But runeword grief ist still the best weapon for melees.
Ethin Axe is awful Speed and also awful for tesladin…niti suggestion is for melee pally only and that would cost a fortune(at least the socketing suggestion is awful)
there a better option
Phase Blade 2X Shael + 4 Facets(IF Pally)
Highlord Wrath Amy(1 skill +20% ias) + 20% ias Gloves to hit ias BP
the Facet % will apply twice to the aura melee dmg but once to the radial
that way you boost your melee elemental dmg greatly…lets say aura deal 1000 dmg
1000 X 1.2 X 1.2…thats 1440%…Quad perf facet is almost 50% Lightning dmg boost for melee dmg but 20% to radial
i would not recommend adding physical dmg along with Grief but u can do wtv…
Armor Wise Glass Cannon option is Jeweler Dusk Shroud of the Whale with 4X P-Facets…but i really would not advocate for that…i would suggest Shaftop(Melee dmg reduction) or CoH(survival vs casters)
I got a zeal tesladin up to Act 3 Hell with a Crescent Moon RW phase blade. This was when the IAS bug was still going on, crazy damage output. Hit the lightning immune wall in Act 3 and couldn’t progress further. Respeced to hammers/smiter since he was going to be my uber runner.
IMO, this Axe should have allowed Rune Words in it.
It is called Rune Master after all.

I used to wreck in duels with one back in the day because it was popular at the time. Charge paladins. alot of times for casters. (Diablo 2 website of best builds at the time)
people would put a
Jah (Ignores defence)
Zod (of course)
and 3 Lo runes in it. (60%) double dmg. (about 700 physical dmg per hit, kills most bowazons, sorcs, and ele druids in duels)
along with cannot be frozen, freed me you up a ring slot (Everyone used wisp projector because nova sorces were a cancer in pvp before nerfd)
Only use i can think of unless you just want to slam 4 sheals and a zod for a fury druid, but theres much better options.
Exactly, not much of a “master” if you can’t make runewords in it. More like Rune Assistant Supervisor.

The same thing you do with finding literally any awesome item in this game (Templar’s Might, Tyr’s Might, Valor, WF, Grandfather). Vendor it because it isn’t a HR and you can’t turn it into a runeword.

One perfect scenario for use is for the gf zerker barb. 5os eth, slap a zod and 4 lems and your weapon is good enough to slap everything without sacrificing gold.
At a higher level, nothing can be done with this.
