Rollback back to a few weeks ago

As many others I was playing an hour or so yesterday when the server issues started. I got rolled back on my sorceress for one Baal run, I lost a pair of magefists and dropped back to (if i remember correctly) level 55 from 56. to bad but not the whole world.

However, logging in this morning, I am greeted by a level 17 sorceress with what seems to be all progress and items found from act 2 normal to the start of Hell lost. Since i don’t play that often or much this corresponds to weeks of game play and progress lost!

What have happened?
When can you restore a back up of my character from yesterday?

same here, my 90 sor rolled back to 75 and still in nightmare A3. lost my tal rasha set and other items i got a week ago, nice job blizzard!

Have anyone else with this issue gotten any response fro, Blizzard? I’ve posted a ticket but no response yet.

Nice so they can take effort to remove my post but not respond and assist. This company…wow, I’m beyond words at this point

Is there any official statement about this? It happened on EU aswell and all we got is silence, tech support ignoring it and ingame tickets being closed without any response.

I don’t know for certain, but I am pretty sure that due to having the servers crash 3 days in a row, only getting them back online via rollbacks of the server, they rolled back even further this time hoping they won’t crash again for a couple weeks hoping they can update with a fix before then. Unfortunately, some ppls characters got rolled back along in the process unintentionally I believe. I, myself, only lost the progress of 1 game, 1 quest, and lost like 3 lower runes from the last crash. I guess it had crashed while I was still playing, but instead of me getting kicked, just nothing from the game actually saved when I exited, then at the menus I seen I wasn’t connected any more. Anyways I think that is what’s happening. They don’t know yet what causes the crashes (prob a variable somewhere messing things up after x amount of something) and the roll backs to get them back up weren’t working good enough.

Remember… were in beta phase still basically… just how this industry is these days… gotta stop buying games day 1… damn us…

I dont get that. I even didnt play my main during crashes and it was rolled back. Why would they rollback everyone few hours, but some characters goes back week or more?

So any word? Or is us support ignoring this just like on eu support?

Similar to my situation. I wrote a tag about this and got replied saying they can’t help

Just rolled back from 70s down to 30 myself. That is several weeks for me not a couple sessions. You’re response doesn’t give much hope.

The game hasnt been out for several weeks… and its non ladder… it doesnt matter… screw your characters…

as i understand from the explanation post, they covered our data on region server and rewrite with the data from global server when they try to reboost the whole data server, so i think our progress are lost permanently. r.i.p my wasted time

To me ladder doesn’t matter, so what? But it matters indeed, if all or at least a huge amount of your progress you made gets stolen from you and you can’t do anything about it and Blizzard doesn’t care at all and offers 0 support.
