Sorces are hard enough to play if you don’t have expensive gear and firewall was one of the only way early on to farm bosses. Now even playing solo it takes forever to kill bosses.
It was a good dual spec build that you could setup for fairly cheap.
I’m considering quitting now.

At least offer a free token. That’s an insane damage nerf for people just trying to start farming.
Like, I’m trying to farm up gear for my hammerdin so I don’t have to put up with the slow farming… Just make it even more difficult. Thanks.
I am kill boss very quick with my meteor+ fireball. It isn’t in second like bugfed firewall did but it is still usually within 15 seconds. Learn to play the game instead of relying on bugged feature

Finally we had another viable sorc build. A real fun one too and not impossible to come by like infinity lightning sorc. And now you nerfed it and it sucks. Thank you for ruining all the fun, this will make me and my friends quit since we wont got back to boring blizz sorc or slow mete/orb sorc.

What are u talking about? Blizz sorcs kills everything asap, javaz, hammers etc. the damage isn’t the issue the nerf is. Firewall must be taking serious dmg to be viable since its so hard to hit with compared to anything else i just listed that got equal dmg (pre patch). Now it’s just an irrelevant skill once again.

Clearly firewall is bugged, it’s doing way more than what they supposed to be doing compare to original old, plenty of videos has shown that, just because it takes 5 seconds longer to kill boss does not mean it’s irrelevant lmao.

Still if u compare to the rest of the skills i listed their far more OP then fire wall, wheres the nerf there? And bug or not where is the issue keeping it this strong? Its finally doing decent dmg, especially if u consider how hard it is to hit with, and is really fun to play. Imo its not OP at all just finally doing as it should. All the other skills i listed are way more powerful if u consider area + dmg.

The issue is it is bugged and it is being fixed as intended. You just here being a cry baby because you are spending your time building a char based on a bug.
All the other builds that you mention required way more skill points than the 40 pts firewall ever does.
And those builds that you mention ARE NOT BASED ON BUGS, FIREWALL DOES

Who cares if it was bugged or not? It finally did decent dmg. For the sake of it lets say it was a bug, remove it then buff the skill if that makes u feel better (same thing different way of doing it).
“Cry baby”, are you twelve? I can easily respec so clearly you have no clue what your talking about here as well. The problem is that the orb/wall sorc is the most fun sorc to play with + infinity light sorc. Blizz, mete/orb etc are just slow and boring.
Yeah and all the other builds is much better then firewall so whats ur point? U need more skill points but u get a much better character, seems pretty fair to me.
And once again who cares if it’s a bug or not, it did what its supposed to and was fun. Isn’t that what’s important, people enjoying the game? And a lot of players really enjoyed this. But again, buff it then so it will be viable to play with and it will keep guys like you that clearly is triggered by the bug factor happy as well.
And lastly, iv’e never seen anyone from blizzard saying that this actually was a bug. So you should get facts on that before stating such things.

I’ve played this game on and off for 20 years. I know the game. It was nice having another build other than Blizzard for magic finding.

I am playing very well with my meteor/fireball+ FO currently with lame gear for mf-ing. Blizzard is viable with limitation but it is definitely not the only build for sorc.
If it’s bugged it bugged, and when it is bugged no matter if it’s doing decent damage or not it is deserved to be fixed, and people who can’t play the game unless using a bugged skill and cry about it after it is fixed are correctly labeled as cry baby.

It’s the same thing that happened with cold mastery, It was bugged and everyone knew it was a bug and eventually going to be fixed. If you went out of your way to gear up a firewall sorc imo that’s your own fault for thinking the bug wouldn’t get fixed.

My sorc can easily be respeced to any other sorc except light since i dont got infinity (sure can be played without but not that strong). Thats not the issue. The issue is that we finally had a fun sorc build to play and now its gone. For me and many others going blizz, mete/orb etc isnt an option since its just not fun. Then i rather play something else then d2 and players leaving will hurt the whole community since im not alone in this.

Look, not everyone who was playing Firewall was because it was bugged. I started the reboot playing Firewall because i wanted something different than what i played for years 20 years ago. I never played it back then so seeing the high damage with lots of +skill gear didnt resonate with a bug for me. I figured since its so awkward to hit anything other than a single target with that the damage made sense.
Sadly i am in the same camp as those saying they dont want to play the game now. Its not that i took advantage of a bug and cant deal with not being “overpowered”. Its that im just not interested in playing a spec that i played to death 2 decades ago.
