Response to Blizzard on 2.4 Wereform IAS Changes

I am going to keep this short and in response to https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d2r/t/druid-ww-and-wb-attack-speed-changes/102171:

  1. “This change should encourage more diversity in weapon selection.”

By slowing the class as a whole down? Can we do the opposite and include the possibility for off-weapon IAS to reach the faster speeds, please?

  1. “The quirky attack speed calculation was a poor player experience for those not in the know - in particular at lower levels of play without optimized weapons. While this change has reduced attack speed when using weapons with very high IAS, it has increased attack speed for the majority of weapons - especially weapons encountered at lower levels of play.”

So the beginning of the druid experience is where everyone stays? Can we have a compromise and allow the breakpoints to go past the artificial limit put in place? Off-weapon IAS?

All I can say is that this change is not what we want in the end. Thank you Blizzard for responding so quickly, but please, do something to allow the druids to be as fast as they were prior to the PTR.

Before this change, the only skill that ever ignore IAS on gear is fury, everything else is affected by non weapon IAS and EIAS from fana.

Now, don’t know what they did but a dagger with 75ias has the same speed with a wirt’s leg

This is so unreal and unnecessary

Your motivation isn’t fixing the build, but burning it to the ground

The IAS bug before the 2.3 patch actually fixed the build better than what you are doing now currently.

all we can hope on is that they were serious with their words:

“We will be looking at ways to improve the performance of the transformed Druid without sacrificing the benefits obtained from unifying the attack speed calculations.”

Actually, I’d rather they used the Barb breakpoints now that Druid humans are intended to be fighters.

Anything, just keep the wereforms fast - i mean they’re literally animals lol come on

They either need to set base frames for wereform to 13 OR they need to change the eias cap from 75 to 150. Current situation is broken.

Wirts Leg has the same attack speed as a 6 shale PB… they went from a quirky interaction to dont even bother with IAS because you only have 11/7 now.

Put a 6shale PB on a Wear bear on current live and that guy Slaps Fast. Put that on him in the PTR and … yah…

The funny thing is - this is in line with what Blizz apparently wanted, now you can use Wirt’s Leg because it has the same attack speed as the 6 shael PB - absurd

THere’s no difference between Wirt’s Leg, Beast Beserker Axe, Grief Phaseblade, Griswold’s Redemption with 4 shael and The Cranium Basher, wiwth or without gear IAS as well under 2.4

Blizz: Look all weapons are equally viable now they all attack just as slow.
Blizz also thinks humans should have the same speed and strength of Werewolves/bears lol

Druud is fast with mace and axe class weapons and slow with swords and daggers. Blizzard have made the fatal error of assuming people play normal and nightmare difficulties, where wereform attack speeds were previously deathly slow unless you could pick up some good IAS early on.

Even though I am not good with druids nor do I know the numbers like you do, but I do have a feeling that you are right about the change that would make what they want to work. I like the idea and support it.

My opinion launch ladder now, launch 2.4 in 4 months they need lots of time to fix this garbage patch lol

I want to freaking play a ladder dont care about this patch they clearly are not ready. Let’s have the patch in 4 months and hope to God they get it together by then
