Request for Diablo II Classic (Pre-LOD) in Resurrected – Simple Stash Transfers & Persistent Mercenaries?

Hi there,

I just wanted to say how much I still enjoy playing Diablo II Classic (pre-LOD) in Resurrected. There’s something really special about the original experience, and I’m glad it was included.

That said, I wanted to ask if the team would consider adding some small quality-of-life improvements for Classic players—nothing major like expanded stash size or shared gold, just a little convenience for solo players like myself.

Specifically:

  • An easier way to transfer items between characters. It can be a pain trying to find a safe public game or trusted person just to pass one item to a mule. Would it be possible to add a simple item transfer system or “mailbox” that lets us send gear between our own characters, even just in Classic mode?
  • Persistent mercenaries across acts. It’d be great if our mercs didn’t disappear every time we moved between acts. They don’t need new gear slots—just being able to keep them would be a fun nod to modernization, and I doubt many Classic fans would object to something like that.

LOD has gotten tons of love and updates, which is awesome—but a few little touches like these for the pre-expansion side would really go a long way without upsetting the balance or feel of Classic.

Thanks for reading and for keeping this game alive!

Not sure how it’s handles on the pesant hardware however on “PC” each game in lobby lasts for a few minutes if you drop an item on the ground and just relog with another character strakight to it by joining the same game you left… this has never failed me… You just have to remember to go straight to join that same game, don’t create any other private games with any character i the meantime and you should be fine… as for mercs leaving after you switch acts… this is a feature… this way you have to rely on yourself in act IV even as a summon necro it is possible to start off, just use amp + clay golem on normal and nightmare, and max Blood Golem + summon Resist and amp mobs on hell act IV for starters

On console almost no one is playing so you cannot join other people’s games to mule, nor you can re-join your own games: after you leave a game you have no way to join the same game since it doesn’t show up in the list and you cannot manually insert the game’s name like you can do from PC.
I think muling was an important part of the game and now it’s impossible to do which makes D2R Classic worse than the original game. They should definitely include the shared stash function as they did with LoD.
