Remove enigma from the game

he all know the damage enigma do too the core of the game

but also is the best armor for bot and gold seller

but also some high level go too normal game too stuck low level game to make xp and break diablo or baal xp run , this armor allow player to pk other player and reach the area in less of 30 sec , this is not in the desing of diablo 2 and also pk this armor just ruin the game to every level , thank you

But only if sorc tele is removed too. Otherwise we won’t see anything in MF besides sorc, which will already be the case for ladder-start.

Enigma should stay but maybe cost a further zod instead of the ber or in addition.

My argument will remain the same:

You not having an Enigma affects you and those you play with.
Me having an Enigma affects me and those I play with.
Removing Enigma will not remove botting, it will simply change how the bots operate. You don’t need Enigma to bot in very good areas.

Fight the bots, not the in-game mechanics.

If sorc’s teleport be removed, let’s also remove paladin’s smite, Barbarian’s WW, Amazon’s thunder fury, necromancer’s corpse explosion, Assassin’s trap and druid’s…does druid even have anything worthy to take away?

One of the things i like about d3 is that every character has its own mobility skill from the get go

They could introduce a mobility skill to all classes (could be somewhat timered on others like starts with 2-4 seconds and reduces to 0,5 with skills so sorc stills has her own defining edge)

What damage? I dont see any. Its makes some builds viable. Enigma was great additions to game which helped to some builds.

Lets just remove everything and let everyone use main attack so its fair :slight_smile:

I am all for keeping Tele for sorc exclusive, and remove egnima, it is people who demand remove teleport from everyone including sorc that is signature spell that triggered me.

Well removing enigma is terrible idea because its addes some balance to classes. Classes are not balanced towards MF well, without enigma, it would be impossible to make many builds viable at same or similar level as sorc.

Thinking through this a bit more for D2.

Classes with mobility skills:

  • Sorceress: Teleport
  • Barbarian: Leap, Leap Attack, Frenzy, Increased Speed
  • Assassin: Dragon Flight, Burst of Speed
  • Paladin: Vigor, Charge
  • Druid: Feral Rage

Classes without mobility skills:

  • Necromancer
  • Amazon

So it would be cool if the other two classes got something, even if through class-specific items or set bonuses. Put +1 Teleport on full Trang-Oul set, and put +X Burst of Speed on full M’avina’s or something. (I don’t think many people use Enigma for Teleport on zon because her casting frames are so abysmal.) And of course make M’avina’s set more competitive to begin with so some people will want to wear it.

Anyway, I realize some of the existing mobility skills are situational. But they’re there. Teleport will always be the best mobility skill, and that’s fine. People are way too obsessed with it.

Oranges and apples mate. You are mixing them up. No one wants for sorc to do any less dps. But sorc doesn’t have to work for insane mobility. No other class has that. Sorc comes with the best aspect of enigma for free. By removing enigma you remove the other characters from the game.

Let FCR doesn’t affect Teleport skill and you solve the OP situation with Enigma without removing it.

Nah, plenty of builds are viable for MFing even before egnima. Introduction of egnima does the following

  1. making people don’t know how to play hammerdin without egnima

  2. making people don’t know how to play summon necro without egnima

  3. limit mf char to hammerdin, summon necro and sorc only.

  4. making engima a “must use” armor on almost all char, even a freaking bowzon.

  5. causing balance issue in pvp, look at egnima smiterdin.

This game exist loooong before the introduction of egnima, and actually we had way more viable builds before that. So no, removing egnima does not remove other chars.

Sorc has the best mobility teleport at the expense of no meat shield and easy to die due to low HP and low def.

All the other class has slight limitation on mobility but they have other things to make up for it such as high def, best blocking, high hp etc…

Necro has massive meat shield and dim vision which allows you to walk around mobs easily.

Amazon is pretty much the only worst class with nothing but the 3 passive skills …assuming they ain’t bugged.
