Thats a long wait.
From the demo videos we can see act 1-4 including mephisto and diablo. Act V however there was not a single image or video of. Perhaps that act is not yet completed.
It says on or before December. I’m thinking a fall release is what they will end up going with.
lets hope redoing the character models doesnt take too much time lol.
When did they mention December?
If I was to hazard a guess for release it would be either June 29, 2021 for anniversary of D2’s original release date. Or possibly October on or around Halloween.
At this points these are all guesses. There still have to be alpha and beta testing phases, followed by bug fixes and internal QA. Chances are that the game is released around the end of Q3 2021.

Alpha release will provide more feedback. More than just Character selection might need some rework.
mate it says “on or before december” means it might be any month until december but it can’t be beyond december and december is not certain.
when you name the title “release date december”, you will cause people understand wrong. Release date is not december.
they are more than likely going to use all their available time. this is blizzard we are talking about.
I am more than willing to wait whatever amount of time is necessary as long as they get this right. I have played this game on and off for 20 years. Hopefully with the remaster, I can continue to enjoy it for the next 20.
Exactly, I’m definitely willing to wait until December or heck, even next year, if that’s what it takes to put out a quality remaster. We have classic to continue playing in the meantime anyways.

All they said was “release 2021”… which i mean yes technically means “December or earlier”
because that’s how years work but… really?
if they are going to do an alpha test, figure they will need to run that for a good three or four weeks as they would want a good number of people to make it through diablo on at least two difficulty levels. I would bet the alpha comes late march/april and release is in end of June for anniversary.
They are going to want a good year+ in before Diablo 4 hits
Technically they will want a Beta test as well, with more testers, after the Alpha. So any Alpha test in March/April will mean that we will only get a Beta in June or so. Earliest for full release will then be around Sept/October methinks.
