Refunds or #NeverActivisionAgain

When will you be offerring refunds for this incomplete garbage, this game should be early access at best, its rude and inconsiderate of you guys to lie to the players and put out abominations like this, refunds or #NeverActivisionAgain

They were being offered anytime before you played the game (and still are if you still can’t play).

Just because the game has issues (that they are working to resolve) doesn’t mean that they will give you a refund. You can still play it offline with zero issues.

ā€œOnline gaming experience may changeā€ā€¦ I believe is how the saying used to be printed on the back of the game box.

Pretty pathetic excuse attempt to defend a company who has more than enough experience in this business to keep these issues from happening. This is evidence of an unskilled server management team, and a lack of resources directed to upkeep their server farms.

Blizzard has already released this game once in the past, these issues are unacceptable.

hahahaha yes, at any given moment, from being able to, to not being able to

This is a full-price rerelease of an extremely old game. It was more expensive than New World. Let that sink in. And a third night in a row I can’t play.

This is completely unacceptable. You may believe that agreeing to an EULA means I am not entitled to a refund, however, there are many countries’ consumer rights laws that would beg to differ and take precedence.

See, that’s the problem. I’m not defending them, I’m calling you out. Yes, this game was released in terrible condition, and I personally couldn’t play for however long it took them to fix the AVX issue… and the game still crashes from time to time, and the servers stop… there are issues.

However, just because everything hasn’t gone perfectly, you and other people like you think you’re entitled to get a refund because you’ve been inconvenienced by everything not being optimal 24/7. Grow up. There hasn’t been a single PC release in decades that has come out without some issues that need to be fixed.

On the whole, most people have been able to play the game more then they haven’t. Suck it up and let the people do their jobs and fix the issues. If you can’t do that, STOP PLAYING until they do. Because you’re not getting a refund past a couple of hours of play time.

And on a side note, you hash tag is a pathetic joke. Nobody is going to boycott Activision simply because of a bad game rollout. And this is coming from someone who actually DID refund the game after waiting for a week to play (and not being able to)… so I waiting until they fixed the issue stopping me from playing and repurchased.

The funny thing is that most people who say ā€œrefundā€ don’t actually try to refund. *sigh
We already did the damage with buying the game.

Sure… in that case just do it. Go get a refund and walk away. Threats of a boycott on their own forums is nothing but attention seeking and self validation.

I refunded after a week of not being able to play due to the AVX issue. I didn’t post on the forums complaining about how terrible it was and how I’m owed because there are issues. I waited for them to fix the issues, and I came back.

I do hope that anyone who does use their countries consumer protection laws can get the results they want… but I wouldn’t be surprised if doing so results in their Battle.Net account being terminated.

I’m upset about d2r server issues too, but let’s be real; no one will remember New World 5 years from now.

It booted me off the server the other night and my lvl 79 sorc disappeared…

They aren’t paying me. And I’m no doing this for them… .I’m pointing out this stuff because people have gotten so used to participation trophies and feeling entitled to everything going there way, they forgot that there are other people on the other end of the game that are doing their jobs trying to fix the issues that came up.

The entitlement of ā€œgamersā€ has never been a good look and it’s never been this bad, and it would be different if they weren’t doing anything about it… but issues are being resolved and they can’t fix everything all at once…

You say entitlement like it is a bad thing. They are customers. And as customers, they are ā€˜entitled’ to the services they paid for. Simple as.

Whether they are working to resolve the issues is irrelevant. It is obvious that they are nickel and diming on customer service, server infrastructure, and developers to properly manage their services. Something we are all entitled to criticize.

You didn’t pay for any service. You paid for the license to play the game which is still valid. Unfortunatly there is the difference.

Okay. That’s fair. However, they have the game they paid for. They can play it offline with zero issues and problems. However, when you want to play online, on Blizzard’s servers, then there are going to be issues.

Expecting things to be perfect is a pipe dream. We just need to give them some time… but as long as issues are being addressed and fixed, all we can do is wait.

maybe for some people, they pay to experience the online service to interact/trade with others. e.g. playing CSGO with bots only will be fun? dont think so. not saying yay or nay for being entitled to refund but you really shouldnt act high and noble on other’s posts just because you ā€œknow betterā€ with terms&conditions or etc. just like you dont like people complaining about refund, your non stopping comment on everyone’s posts to point out their wrong is not looking good. just saying. after all, we paid our own money and there are certain expectations in quality of the product.

You’re a moron, I’m not the OP

Sorry to say, but the people who released D2 Resurrected are not Blizzard. Simply put the company ā€œBlizzardā€ should just change their name to Activision. Because that’s what it is. Activision is cashing in on the Blizzard name pure and simple. And we avid Blizzard customers keep hoping and praying things will change. But unfortunatley all Activision cares about is profit over happy customers. I cringe for the release of D4.

It might change, sure; but the issue is that it’s ceasing to exist for long period of time on a routine basis.

There’s no ā€œonline gaming experienceā€ right now. Zilch. Zero. Nadda.

It keeps occurring during the time I have to play the game. I already requested a refund and was told that it can’t be done because I had ā€œconsumedā€ the product.

Then end of story. You either stop trying to play, wash your hands of the game and the company, and never look back, or you wait and give the employees who are NOT RESPONSIBLE for this dumpster fire the chance and the time to fix it.
