You know you don’t need the Scroll of Inifuss, right? (Except to show it to Akara).
Once Akara updates your Quest Log, you can stash the Scroll. All you need to do is click on the Stones until they all light up. (It’s not like they reset if you click one out of order). And, once you’ve opened the Portal to Tristram, the game automatically removes the Scroll from your Stash. (If you try this, make sure you put the Scroll in your Personal Stash. It may not work from a Shared Stash).
You’ve got me curious now. I’ll have to check that out sometime.
But, I agree. If it’s bugged, it should be fixed.
This is the way I do it. (And I’m not saying everyone should do it this way):
Retrieve the Scroll of Inifuss.
Show the Scroll to Akara.
Read the Scroll to see the order of Stones.
Stash the Scroll in my Personal Stash.
Return to the Cairn Stones and click on the Stones in the proper order. ●
If I forget the order of the Stones, I just click on them all. I have no need to open my Inventory.
No. This thread is about reading the key to Carin stones, not about opening the Tristram portal (they are related actions, but different). In legacy this action closed the inventory panel (so you have the game world visible), in resurrected it does not. Granted, you still see the world with 2 menus open on the sides, but it can be quite claustrophobic if you don’t play on a very wide aspect ratio.
i really don’t understand what we’re discussing here. This is an issue with new game UI. Legacy had a quality feature, in resurrected it is missing. I hope we get it here too!
Baumsi, think about people that might be new to the game
I don’t recall the inventory closing when examining the scroll. It would stay open so you could click on the stones in the correct order. That was how it worked in D2.
