I know MF doesn’t mean guaranteed drops but I love hunting rare uniques. And also, sometimes Ber/Sur/Lo/Ohm drop for me on the way to Baal.

good on you if you’ve self found all that gear. but if you’re going for MF + power + survivability think CoA/HHG are unnecessary and are easily trumped by ist shako + either jmod/jmoc with 4 ists or just plain 4 ist monarch. the ist monarch may even be overkill and the extra killing power from spirit being your main shield might be even more beneficial.
I use CoA for the Shako replacement; I had a Um’d Shako I was using but I wanted the stats on CoA and + skill. I was getting frustrated with no FHR. Also, I know I could’ve done 4 Ists in a plain shield, but I would cry… I wanted some stats and it looks cool 
huh, shako has better stats and +1 more to skills than CoA, CoA’s only saving grace is the FHR, not worth the trade off especially considering you save 20 stat points since CoA would highest strength req item. You have easily over 250 MF with your gear + Shako + spirit monarch along with stronger spells and more survivability with more HP + 55% FHR. I agree CoA is cooler than a shako but that’s it lol
I thought about it.,. and I thought it would be nice to have that FHR and put in 2 Ist runes to give the same MF as a plain (unsocketed) Shako… I know Shako does +2 and +health/mana, etc… but I also wanted to be a hipster sorceress and just play my own way and have a blast doing it

no, I appreciate your opinions. But I really don’t see that much of a difference in +1 all skills from the Shako over all that CoA offers w/ the same MF value.
Why would you use ists on a helm slot though? perfect topaz is 1% mf lower for a pgem compared to ist…
Okay, you got me there… I had the sword and shield Ist’d… I figured… may as well farm a little bit more to completely Ist everything out

what do you mean? I farmed Hell Mephisto and sold Shako/Arachnid’s Mesh’s/Mara’s Kaleidoscopes for days and then advanced to Baal eventually and I got carried away with how much more fun running MF Baal solo was compared to teleporting around to find the door to Mephisto. You have no idea how hard I grinded to trade/craft this gear.
–I got upset after about 1000 Hell Mephisto runs not even 1 Tal Rasha chest dropped like I thought he could… so then I moved onto Baal when I had the Tal set-up and then I got really carried away hehe
p.s. is there a way I can post pictures on this forum (?) If so, I’ll take pictures of my gear and let it deserve some admiration
mephisto doesnt drop tals chest. If u had the FHR from spirit maybe u wouldnt need coa over shako. I guess having a mf switch is kinda tedious… can just run charms with fhr
yes, I know that now almost certainly… I looked on ranked boost and clicked on Tal chest and it said Hell Mephisto was one of the bosses that can drop it. they need to update their boss drop list imo
silospen has a loot calc that is like ~98% accurate to mf and players count. Things get way rarer than 1:1000 tho. We know pretty well where the loots at minus from super chests which can get kinda funky
is silospen a site? better than ranked boost? I swear I’m trying to just have a Death’s Web or that Death Fathom (orb for sorc) drop ONCE off Baal. So far, no luck. It’d really help if it was much more informative than that site
ranked boost is probably some chinese company that writes random junk for views. silospen made a site that hosts a tool just look up d2 loot calc

single players and modders have direct access to the loot files and while they can get kinda complicated they are still fully available to view under the hood. I recall editing a playthrough for myself back in the day and giving myself global TC87 or about

But people like giving Sorc that Enigma because trololol.
Honestly i’d trade that enigma for an Infinity and switch to a lightning sorc, then put on Gold Wrap, Nagels, and Shaco, Chance Guards, but people rather be unique than be optimal sometimes.
enigma on a sorc isnt really troll… tons of strength and frees up a point. probably best way to get high health and mf. can get res from charms easier than that much strength
