Rare Monarch - Socketing

Hi all - just found first rare monarch in Hell Act I. If I get Larzuk to socket will I get four or is it a random gamble?

If it’s rare (yellow) Larzuk will not give you the max amount of sockets on this shield.

  • [Magic Items] receive either 1 or 2 sockets (assuming they qualify for sockets).
  • [Set Items], [Rare Items], [Unique Items], and [Crafted Items] all receive 1 socket.
  • [Normal Items] receive the maximum amount of sockets allowed for the item level (not necessarily six, depends on the item being socketed).
  • Item level is determined by the level of the monster that drops the item.
  • Socketed items cannot be socketed again.

if its grey or a normal monarch then yes… u said rare so no

The only way a Rare item can have more than one socket is if it get’s ID’d with more than one

While I’m on the subject, whats the current value for a socketable/4os monarch?
