Yes it disconnected constantly that is why I am here to comment on it
I crash like every 3-5 minutes. Ping computer and internet are all more than fine
same here i have Starlink, my connection is superb, it’s not on my end. I DC then hit windows key and can confirm every single time that my broadband connection is 100% working.
Starlink? That explains the problem… Starlink is nowhere close to being good for real-time gaming, but should get better with time. They don’t have enough satellites up to provide great coverage for the whole globe yet. Whenever a coverage “hole” moves over you, you’ll experience a momentary gap without internet while your equipment is searching for a satellite to link with. Satellite based internet is going to have packet loss, which Diablo 2 has always been very sensitive to… Even just 1% packet loss will result in an eventual drop from the game.
Man starlink is fine, I have 3 other friends with hard lines having the same issue. My connection has been up 100% for 2 weeks according to the modem. I have 200 down and 100 up, my latency is about 20ish.
I have Starlink at work which serves as backup internet, I have ran tests on it over the past several months… Guess what? They still have momentary gaps where there is no traffic in or out.
My landline connection is cable internet, it’s a very reliable connection, and I’ve seen maybe two drops from the game during my entire time playing D2:R since release.

You could have a point, my friends and I all live in rural Kentucky, our infrastructure sucks big ones!
on reset day my char got rolled back 23 times
had to do start over and over and over and over and over…again
leveling , quests , items etc.

From São Paulo here is the same. A disconnect every hour or so. I’m playing ladder alone, WTF is happening?
Greece here, i didn’t noticed any issue with connection today… (right now is 21:05) and i play from 12:00
All the freaking time, level 3 maggot lair disconnects are the worst.

It seems better today only about 1 diconnect every 45 minutes - could be all the players are in Sunday Skool and not jamming the cheapo Blizzard servers so it is faster… no idea though.
