Empty words from a stranger in a online game ARE meaningless and can easily be ignored, you are not gonna win anything by picking up a fight with guys like that nor will u ever agree with eachother.
The question is why even bother??? you dont know the guy, he doesnt know you, its pointlesss to be honest and Blizz is not going to spend resources moderating the game lobby when the game itself doesnt make money, not even the countless RMT spam bots get banned even though they clearly violate terms of service. They do however still moderate forum

Oh I’m absolutely opposed to arguing with someone like that, don’t give them the time. Simply reporting them and expecting moderation to exist however is not that unreasonable and every healthy game out there has those features. The fact that “blizzard isn’t gonna bother” even moderating their online chats maybe is a very good indication that this is a service no longer worth supporting or engaging with, just like if I entered a restaurant and saw people wearing racist symbols for example, I would leave and find somewhere else to eat, it would not be an environment I would want to be in. I’ve been singleplayer-only for years now.

Anyone is free to choose whether or not they want to play and there are other games with better support. All im saying is Blizz is not going to spend their time and resources moderating a game that doesnt make money, they are not in it because they have a passion for the game, its all about $$$ and pleasing their shareholders. With no monthly sub i dont expect this will change in future nor do i think we will see any updates besides ladder reset and a few minor bug fixes.
Surely i would pick another restaurant too, but there is a huge difference between being IRL with rasist morons and being offended by some random dude making a racist game name, noone forces u to join hes game and he cant hurt anyone from a game lobby. Essentially he is just waiting for someone to take the bait

It was an analogy. Just saying that from a moral perspective. Blizzard has a CoC, which is a contract of sorts, and they, as a company, have to fulfill it’s end of it. Not discussing whether or not they do, but morally speaking, they should.
Nothing is going to be done about this, this has been going on for years.
If we are to live as a world, then we must work as a world, and racism must die and/or be ignored until it dies. Responding to it in any way, shape or form only makes it recur. Racism is/was a very ancient, natural and primal defense mechanism against the spread of disease and overpopulation of our planet. How do I know this, you ask?
When/if everything is racist, then nothing is.
