When it comes to ladder, all of you people complaining about bots, have absolutely no right to complain about them because every time the 2 solutions which in fact would eliminate the problem completely, none of you want to go through with it, and or have some excuse as to why that shouldn’t happen.
Regardless of what your stand on this is, here are the facts and how this works:
Bots only server 2 purposes:
Places like D2JSP (Which BTW is against the TOS)
The Leaderboard
Since it is a known fact that you cannot stop bots, then that leaves the only 2 solutions left
Disable all trading on ladder - This shuts down places like D2jsp
Get rid of the leaderboard altogether - This prevents anyone from knowing the status of anyone
The above creates 2 groups of people
People want to argue that ladder isn’t’ about the leaderboard
and people who want to argue trading is part of the game.
Guess what
Trading being part of the game is irrelevant. Ladder is a competition. When you allow people to get items they didn’t earn then you are just playing non-ladder you cannot argue that ladder is a fresh start, then taking non-ladder and applying it to ladder. Want to play ladder then earn what you get instead of cutting corners. People who want a fresh start won’t cut corners by trading.
Aside from a few people watching streamers, The leaderboard is the only real way anyone knows what is happening. And if people that want to argue that ladder isn’t about the leaderboard, then those people will and shouldn’t have any problems with having it removed then. Especially it’s what’s allowing anyone to know there is even some issue. if you cannot see anything, then you have no complaint and nothing to complain about on that end.
If the people complaining about bots and crap want to argue against either of those points of fact, then you really do not want the problem taken care of and are arguing just to troll.
Banning bots has never worked in the history of gaming.
The only way you know there are bots, is because of places like D2JSP and the leaderboard.
Want to stop the problem, then the only solution is to get rid of the whole reason for bots to operate as well as the ability for anyone to know there is a bot to begin with.
What’s it going to take for you people to finally realize what I said is how this works?
Well to be honest bliz could take drastic action and enact legal action against bot creaters and that would stop it in it’s tracks but it’s expensive and they don’t wanna do it
Bots aren’t supposed to be in the game. Everyone is in the absolute right to complain about bots.
Please stop it with creating a mass number of controversial threads just to stir up trouble, you and your many alts do this every time and it doesn’t end well for you. Please, just… Stop.
Multiple teams of lawyers have gone over JSP and violations of the ToS, and not one of them have ever said JSP violated any of the rules, Due to FG(forum gold) being the main currency of the game Ladder Slasher that is ran by/owned the founder of JSP.
FG (forum gold) does not equate to RMT transactions, sure you can buy FG for real USD, but if caught selling it you will be permanently banned from JSP, again FG is the currency for the game hosted on THAT website.
Why? What’s the point in even having a ladder, if you remove the leaderboard? Are you 3rd within 100k exp? or are you 324632nd and think your doing awesome?
It won’t, D2jsp also hosts many other games, including their own, that involved billions in FG transactions daily.
Disabling trading on ladder will essentially run 90% of the player base away from the game, since the ONLINE INTERACTION, you know, chatting, leveling, TRADING, aspects of the game would then be insignificant.
Sounds like all the issues to your problems can be easily solved, PLAY SINGLE PLAYER, you quite obviously DO NOT enjoy the online experience.

People have no right to complain because it’s not their game they clicked I agree to let Blizzard do whatever they like and there isn’t any obligation to cater to any of you.
So quit stirring up drama and trouble because you think you have some importance you really don’t have.
The real question is why even have ladder when it’s allowed to be used exactly like non-ladder.
Almost like the game was designed this way, and the players found out how to abuse certain aspects of the game, now touch base on the other points I made, unless you simply cannot think up a rebuttal.
I love how we’re talking about Diablo 2 R and when it’s mentioned to get rid of bots in this game people start bring up d2jsp has other games
SO WHAT IF D2JSP has other games, the complaint on this forum is about the bots being in D2R so it’s irrelevant what other games D2jsp has
Get rid of the leaderboard and disable trading in ladder and YOU GET RID OF THE PROBLEM IN D2R… which is what people are complaining about.
it’s become clear that players don’t’ really want to get rid of the problem of bots, they just want to talk a good game.
The replies show no one is really upset about the bots because if they were they would look at the only 2 things that I posted that would work and agree it was a good idea.
But instead the only solutions are met with pointless babble and irrelevant counterpoints that have nothing to do with this game.
Well, yeah, ending all shipping would stop piracy on the high seas, but think of the cost? There’s a better solution to combating piracy than to throw the baby out with the bath water. Trading can continue, they just need to make trading not be the only way to gear up your character in a reasonable amount of time.
