Queue wait......Simple Solution

Being in Queue used to always bother me and now it is no big deal. It is called managing your time effectively. Log in about 30-45 min before you want to play. That means when you are ready to play, you will be ready. On the weekend what I did was set the alarm clock, logged in (as I was 630th), went back to bed, and when I woke and had breakfast, I was ready to play. Weekends you have to give more time, but normally during the week, it is only a half hour to 45 min wait, so log in BEFORE you want to play, and the game will be ready when you are. This at least works for me and relieves the frustration greatly. It would still be better if Blizzard would simply expand their servers to accommodate the demand :frowning:

That’s what I do, works for me. It’s not going to work for everyone, but it’s an acceptable workaround for now in my position. Only thing that sucks is I work grave shift so I have to wait for the queue every day lol

You guys are hilarious defending this game. How many other games have you EVER done this, waiting on a queue for hours before you can play it?

Yeah, just acquiesce, conform, and bow down to Blizzard screwing over the player base… How pathetic and spineless.

That’s what people did for Biden and his mandates!

If this game was a vehycle, I would rather take the bus…

If this game was a movie channel, it would go belly up in less than a month.

Blizzard get your shi… together or i am done with you!

Too many other games not 20 years old that work just fine!

Really? How is that Arizona recount going for you?

Hmm so ruin my sleeping habits…check.
Find some way to boot my pc, diablo 2 and get in the queue while driving home from work…check.
Find some way to reboot D2 and queue automatically after crashes, because these sometimes happen even before I would get home if the queue isn’t long…check.
Let my pc read D2 in case I get kicked out of the line to offline mode, so it can automatically put me back in the queue…check.

Basically get a login bot and get banned for the trouble, sounds like a great solution .

Advice with good intent, but it’s a workaround not a solution, a solution is Blizzard fixing their mess.

Lmao

A lot of games. Are you new to online gaming?
This has occurred for a LOT of games over the last few decades of my life and its not new, surprising, or really all that unusual. Its especially common at launches or during seasonal events.

Its annoying. And by all means complain about it. But don’t act like its the end of the world, you are going to sue them, your dad owns Blizzard and the D2R team is getting fired, etc. There are a lot of properly nonsense posts here and as many empty threats as useless, non-factual comments like yours lol

WoW, moba games like LoL queue up times, people seem to forget PoE has had some nasty queue times, many other games I can’t recall off the top of my head.

Except for times like this morning where I go through the que twice and get “cannot connect to server” when it ends, just go get put into single player.

Imagine buying a car that takes 45 minutes to start before you can drive it.

Are you F kidding me? People like the idiot that started this thread are the reason Activision keeps doing their money grind from idiots.

You have paid for a revamp of a 20 years old game, the sheetty releasing company has the biggest scandal in it’s lifetime, yet the pre-sales hit record million copies and the game is yet unplayable 1 month after release and they implement 2 hours queue due to not expecting so much people on the servers?! You had 4 MILLION pre-sold copies of the F game!!!

If you defend them, you’re a moron, a sheeple and etc., since you give them money, it’s not a free product that you have to wait, if I buy anything and it’s not good it’s either fixed in timely manner or it’s refunded. Nothing more and less, having to defend a money machine is just an idiot trying to justify a cause to fight for - guess what ! This cause is wrong jackass!!!

I think it would be nice if we could actually play single player while we wait.

lol the thought of people having to remote into their computers to log into a game 30 minutes before they leave work so they can play when they get home being a “simple solution”

or telling your significant other or kids let me know 40 minutes before you plan to give me some free time so i can log in.

Pretty sure that’s called a Tesla in the cold.
Or anything with diesel fuel in the cold that needs pre-heating.

At any rate, we just start the process while we get ready for work and its fine.

This is legitimately a stupid problem worth complaining about.

Queues within several weeks of launch though are ancient news. Welcome to the internet kids.

But this isn’t a car. Your PC/console is the car in this analogy and the game or D2R in this case is the race track. And guess what if you’ve never been on a track, you have to wait until a session is over or they give you a point by once one person is off so you can hop in. Get over it.

Solution is set PC for wake on LAN, use phone to connect to router to turn on PC, use Google Remote Desktop from your phone to log in and launch D2R, when you arrive at your desk ta dah the game is logged in ready to play!

Plz send donations.

E: oh if we want to continue the car analogy, even cars have REMOTE START so people can “pre-launch” their systems before they need to take off. Wow!

Until they introduce an idle kick that would have resolved this ages ago, you might as well just turn it on and idle the game forever like everyone else is doing.
