Questions about ps5 version of d2r

Hey guys i used to play the d2 battlechest on pc around 20 or more years ago, but since i dont have a pc anymore i have to play on ps5 so i bought the prime evil collection while i wait for d4. My questions

  1. It says online and offline, is offline like the old open battle.net where hackers or character editor users would play? Or does it only save data to your console. Because i am not sure how a hero editor would work on ps5, if one actually exists.
  2. I linked my psn id to battle.net for d4 beta, now my d2/d3 games say my psn account name on all my characters names instead of what i named them. Though in d4 beta it seems we can use character names, so what option do i need to select to see my character names in d2r/d3?
  3. I’d like to play in a ladder if i can to get mosaicx2, but i currently have a need for a lot of runes to get them, i think my current runewords i use are stealth on my assassin, and 2 taltalith swords on my barbarain for 150 poison damage on each. Dont have runes that can make much else. My charrecters are currently non ladder though, so how buggy /laggy are servers? I see 3 green on ping and some games have 2 to 3 yellow for ping, so is that bad or good?
  4. Was thinking of doing pattern x2 or plague x2 for claws if i cant get mosaicx2, and stealth and treachery or chains of honor for armor or maybe myth and fury for my barbarian, are those available in non ladder play yet?
  5. Is voice chat via headsets/ microphone over psn viable or do people use discord for the voice chat on seperate devices while they play on console? Because i cant find any way to chat on ps5 or any way besides naming a game under 20 characters, so i dont know what to do to trade if i want to.
  6. Do people still get banned for trading stuff? I searched for something on how to beat something or to look up items, and it showed me to a site that offerred d2 items for like $2.46 dollars us think it was something called a gg ring whatever that is.
    7 when doing drop trading, what is a good price in gold pieces for like runes or other equipment? Have no clue what prices are like in the diablo community market.

  1. Offline. Console doesn’t have access to Hero editor as to my knowledge of today. But it does require internet connection once every 30 days.

  2. I’m on Switch. Don’t have an answer to this.

  3. Non ladder. I don’t feel lag on my end. But have experience lag before and was solved quickly server side. I believe people that live out in the country side with less signal towers near them have bad signal.

  4. Runeword. Mosaic is a new runeword for patch 2.6 and is available for Ladder and offline only. Not sure if blizzard will decide to release it after Ladder season ends. The other runeword you listed is all available now for all modes.

  5. Chat. On switch it’s only the preset messages. When I play with my friends, I use discord.

  6. Trade. My option on this is. Trade site that does not require real money is ok.

  7. I sold 10 million gold for ist/mal before. Don’t expect many people buying gold unless Blizz does something unexpected in game that affects Gold.

Thank you for the info, what trade site for d2 items would you reccomend? I dont know any.
