I just picked up an Eth Sup Thresher with 15% ED… no os.
As I understand it the socket cube recipe does not work on Superior bases. That leaves the Act5 socket quest which will automatically give this weapon 5 bases.
My question(s) is/are such: 1) Is there someway to magically give this thing 4 sockets so I can sell it as an uber infinity base. 2) is there some other highly desireable 5 socket polearm runeword that Im unaware of or 3) do I just have a killer base on my hands to make a bad@ss obedience?
Unfortunately no luck to your socketing. Only larz can do it. There are decent 5 socket recipes to use for it. But not nearly as good as 4os
thats what I figured. As it stands does this thing really carry much trade value? I’m pretty low on runes atm after building some new characters and could really use a good payday… which the 4os likely could have been.
Obedience, Doom and destruction runwords for your thresher and there will be ppl using this to do A Doom for their merc.

I’m not totally sure about, but maximum of sockets can be limited depending on the level of the item (that depends on the level of the mister who dropped the item). That can be a hope for you.
But a good rolled obedience can have a good value like VEX+
yah, it dropped from Hell cows so it’s destined for 5 sockets.
I’d roll a doom in it but that is just me lol, and I’m a sucker for auras.
