anyone have any idea how trading will be in D2R??
It will be handled the same as in original D2.
And that’s the good thing, its only important that consistently patches are coming to prevent people by using Third party tools like Trade swap hacks or other tools for trade hacks.
Almost the same as Diablo 2 original. However there are a few small changes:
- D2R runs on modern Battlenet with the anti-cheat protections.
- D2R will have a tool tip on an item that lets you compare it to one you are currently wearing. It does not suggest an item - it just shows it so you can read both and make your own decision.
- You will be able to link items in chat when you advertise them for trade. That way someone can click the link to view it and compare it to what they have on.
You will still have to enter a game, open a trade window, and trade with a person. There is no proposed mail system or centralized trade platform.
The Anti-Cheat Protection is not strong enough or lets say its missing permanent updates.
Why is blizzard not adding in the support-team a another division Team only for patching and focusing for Third-Party tools.
Or make the server, server sided.
We have right now Client-Side Server, the pros of Server-side servers are big benefits for us.
Server Side Scripting requires server interaction and is way more secure then Client-Side Scripting.
These are the ways to prevent in a long period time for all Blizzard Games, third-party programms.
The one thing im really hoping for is keywords in the lobby game find screen. That will change everything.
Blizzard has a dedicated security team and has for many many years. That team is referred to as the “Hacks” team. They are the ones who make the anti cheat software that applies to all games.
D3 is all hosted server side. D2R will all be hosted server side for multiplayer Bnet.
Bots will still exist because they evolve just like anti cheat software evolves. It is an on-going game of cat and mouse. However, duping, manipulation of char data, etc won’t happen server side.
I am mean, I am pretty sure this cant be Server-Side scripting and I am pretty sure if they are so dedicated there will be no bots.
For an example:
{Naming a private server is advertising it. You may not be singing a commercial jingle, but you are providing visibility, which is advertising
~ Moderation Team}
There are no companies who have managed to keep bots from tricking the server into thinking a real person was playing. Bots run client side and are hard to detect. They do get caught, banned, and then the bot maker modifies the bot again. Rinse and repeat.
Advertising illegal things is a bad idea.
I am not advertised it, i am actually against this private client but i am very surprised by blizzard even if they are really server-sided and with a Security-Team behind that, still bots exist.
There must something wrong with the processing.
Which languages they used ?
There is something wrong written in the backend-script by computing the server emulation.
Then you don’t know how bots work. Short of very very invasive software running on YOUR PC, they are hard to totally stop.
I am pretty sure how bots works.
There is a flaw by the Code-Processing control, there is defeatly a issue from the backend-client script from the server-side and the Warden can’t be up to date.
Sorry but there is an issue.
Look MVP Miss Cheetah,
Server-Side script gives warnings to the backend-client, so the Support have found Vulnerabilities which need to be fixed. If no one fixes them, there is of course flaws which Bots can use it. But they need to reprocess the Server-Side scripts, there is a wrong coding issue.
It’s not like, I want to bash or say these guys doesn’t do his work correctly, I am really want to help Blizzard to get them more secure against it.
there will be too many people spamming in channel for trade. it will be hard to filter what you want see like wow trade chat. full of spam.
Hard to say, depends on what delays they have, what limitations they put on posting, if they allow ability to show loot in a better way so your not spamming it. I would imagine, or at minimum hope they logged into D2 during either the old days or even now with some of the automated spamming and solved the issue.
That one we might not find out until battle.net alpha, unless they do a quarterly type info blast soon.
A forum with individual sale prices and a currency option on top of item for item trading is the best way to go.
