I’m just following the build guide for Lighting Javelin Lighting build. Powerful build, but one issue…I ran into a Lighting Immune Elite…
So…what can I do to overcome this ??
There are several ways to lower resists or “sunder” them (which means bring it below 100%)
None are cheap.
Getting an Infinity runword on your act 2 merc is popular but requires 2 ber runes.
Getting a lightning sunder charm is also great, but can only be found (very rarely) in terrorised areas.
Some equipment, like Griffons, can lower lightning resistance of mobs as well, but its one of the rarest drops in the game.
Lastly you can find Unique Jewels that have up to -5% lightning res to mobs. You can put these into sockted gear. But this is also quite rare

I was able to kill the Elite, but took a long time and my Merc ended up dying too.
So let me get this straight, even though the monsters say they are " Immune " but in reality it’s just 100% Resistance and you can lower the Res to deal damage to it ?
I was assuming that if they are Immune, they wouldn’t take damage from Lighting element at all no matter what you do, I never thought that you can just lower their Resistance to counter it.
Yeah, sometimes in Hell difficulty they have way more, like 150% or something.
You can also bring a Paladin along to use the Conviction aura if you can’t get an Infinity. But at your level you probably need to rely on physical damage. I’m guessing you aren’t building a Javazon. (Ber runes don’t even drop until after Act III in Hell anyway :P)
javazon is not for beginners, you need RW infinity, Griffon’s Eye, lightning sunder charms.

I use an hybrid poison/lightning to level my javazon and finish hell with a budget gear
At that level you could use a “peace” armor, and proc a level 15 Valkyrie to tank and fight for you. Then you can throw in some poison javelins, or use jab if you have some gear with crushing blow.
Anoth option is to build a bow javalin hybrid. 10 hard points in strafe with a decent midtier bow can like harmony can deal with lightning immuned. 20 hard points in immolation arrow can work well too if you have decent + skills. Not amazing without synergies, but if its not lighting immune your primary skill covers it snd these fill t he gaps.
