Question about charging and MA Changes

Hello

If I charge Tiger Strike and add an elemental ability, then according to the numbers, the damage is significantly increased by Tiger Strike than if I only use the elemental charge with a finisher.

So Tiger Strike acts as an elemental charge booster? Does this mean that with FoF, for example, the damage displayed is fire damage, or is Tiger Strike internally separate from the elemental charge of FoF as physical damage, but is only displayed together with the finisher?

In general, I would like to play more with the elemental special charges and see PS only as a synergy generator, as I consider this skill to be a misconstruction and I don’t like it.
But the elemental charges have something.
Unfortunately, except for CoT, they are inferior to PS, which is actually a twisted world to make a skill as a combination of all elements, even with the respective charges, stronger than the individual special elemental charges themselves.
It should be the other way around, of course, that if you specialize in the elemental charges, they are far superior to a combined charge for their element.

Basically, I like FoF and Ice Blades the best, but they are quite behind in damage. A rework of the whole MA branch of the Assa is actually mandatory.

And not just in the damage values of the charges.
The elemental charges are completely decoupled from each other and are no longer interdependent. It’s like the Pala with his resistance auras, which are all free from pre-skills.

It is also unwise that the kicks and dragon claw are mutually dependent and that you have to skill the other 2 finishers in order to get dragon tail, for example.

PS then needs all elemental charges as pre-skills.
Tiger Strike is the prerequisite for all finishers.

Since you need claw weapons for the elemental charges, dragon claw is still a prerequisite, since you also need claw weapons for the finisher.

  • The damage of FoF and Ice Blades is greatly increased to work on their own.

  • FoF gets increased instant damage and the fire over time damage is massively increased and then very strong through multiple use in one place.

  • Blades of Ice get an improved version of freeze, which now get a slowing effect after the paralyze effect. This means that the speed of the enemies does not increase again immediately after the freezing paralysis, but increases per second from a maximum of 60% back to the normal value within 4 seconds, i.e. 60/40/20 percent after the first paralysis. After 4 seconds, the mob is back to its normal attack and movement speed.

  • CoT are actually quite good.

  • PS is toned down in the charges to the point where as a combo it’s on par with a special charge on its own.
This means you have the choice to focus on special charges and are therefore freer in build and play style. However, in order to do the same damage with PS as the special charges, you must always trigger all 3 PS charges. The damage sum of 3 charges is then as high as the special charges alone.
PS as a combination remains strong enough and balanced.
PS Charge 1 of the meteor is replaced because it is unsuitable.
PS Charge 1 as a fire elemental charge now gets a flame nova like the sorc’s frost nova as a fire effect and only does instant damage, no fire damage over time. The fire damage over time remains reserved for FoF as a unique feature.
PS Charge 3 no longer freezes enemies, they are only slowed down. An improved version of freezing is reserved for Blades of Ice.
PS thus has a lot of flexible use, but has to make a lot of sacrifices to be competitive.
Whereas a special charge only has PS as a synergy and therefore more points for other play styles, but is still equal in damage on its own, but only limited to one element, but with a bonus in the combo. Fire burns after, ice slows strongly, lightning has the highest damage, with strong swings.

  • The Cobra Strike will see an innovation. The Cobra Strike now gets a Poison Damage combo charge and gets a synergy with Venom from Shadow Disciplines.
This makes it an alternative to the other charges.
Charge 1: Poison damage x over 4 seconds
Charge 2: Poison damage is given a 4 meter radius as a cloud
Charge 3: The poison damage is now dealt immediately in a poison explosion in the amount that it would do in 4 seconds.

  • Finisher Dragon Tail is adjusted to the charges.
Its AE damage is no longer fire. It increases the damage of the element that was charged, including fire, but also ice, lightning and poison.
Only one element can be boosted with it, and that is the one you charged first. PS receives an equal boost to the combination charges.

  • Finisher Dragon Claw boosts the charges by doubling the effect.

  • Finisher Dragon Talon and Dragon Flight are a little problematic because they are special or, in the case of Dragon Flight, more of a PvP talent that can stay that way.

  • Dragon Talon, with its many kicks, is difficult to combine with the elemental charges without getting completely out of hand.
The best combination option would be to use Tiger Strike as the main finisher for the charge. The finisher should work on multiple enemies, but then in the same way as Fend the Amazon, using the kicks on single targets on one enemy.
If one enemy is hit with each kick, they take the full damage from Tiger Strike. If an enemy is hit several times by a finisher, then after the first hit, each subsequent hit will have a diminishing effect so as not to make it absolutely overpowered against an enemy. This would all have to be balanced. But as an example, let’s say each additional kick after the first halves the damage of the previous kick on the same enemy.

With the elemental charges, this would be a monstrous storm of effects and should therefore not work and only ever discharge the charges with the first hit. All further hits are simple kicks. Or the skill simply doesn’t work with all elemental charges including Cobra Strike with Poison, which would be the simplest and cleanest solution, but would still make the finisher interesting as a physical finisher and also allow it as an AE.
If Dragon Talon is paired with Tiger Strike, then Dragon Talon also needs Tiger Strike as a condition in the tree.

In the end, the MA Assa Tree could look something like this:
